These happened like what? Last week? Last month? Yea, I'm hella slow... I've also been too lazy to update so yea... Plus I never got around to doing so yet...

First I'm gonna start off with Fanime because it happened first:

Today was Day 3 of FanimeCon 2005. In the morning, I woke up and got ready. I took my stuff and got my ride to the convention center where Fanime was held at.

Oh and at the convention, I noticed I was acting like a jerk to my friends and some other people, plus I went to some restricted parts that I didn't know were restricted. So to those that I hurt with my destructiveness, I'm sorry for my bad attitude and incompetent-ness. I don't know what came over me that day, but I'll try to make sure it never happens again. My deepest apologies...

At Fanime, I met my friends and all the anime club officers/members. We poked fun at each other until registration opened and we registered and got our volunteer badges. While I waited, I helped myself to some free stuff that was lying around the tables and hung out with my buddies until I was called to pick up my registration and volunteer badges. When we got our stuff, we went upstairs and looked for the volunteer office. It was in a room in the Mariott hotel and there, we signed up for our volunteer spot and signed up to volunteer from 2-6 PM. While we waited, we played at the arcade for a while. I got bored so I wandered off to the screening rooms to see the animes that were being shown, then came back and played on the arcade machines. I was kinda upset because I lost my talent for video games. I used to be able to play video games effortlessly and win each time, but now, I can't do that anymore. No matter how hard I tried to win, I ended up losing until I finally gave up. After that, I headed over to the artist tables and Stephy came with me. We looked through the drawings and I kept jacking all the freebies. Haha, I'm so gay... Then Robert and Kevin came to look at some of the drawings with us since the dealer's room was still closed. After that, we played at another arcade area until the dealer's room opened. I bought four Naruto headbands, two for me and two for Teri since Teri left his money at home. At the dealers room, Stephy found a Sesshomaru cosplayer and I took a picture of her and Robert posing with him. Then we continued looking through the dealer's room until I found Fruits Basket Vol. 8 and 9 and I got lost. Luckily my trusty celly got me found. Then Stephy went to the bathroom to try out the ears she bought and when we left, the guys ditched us and they weren't in the dealer's room so we left to find them and looked at more art on the way while I swiped some freebies. On our way to finding them, we met Huy playing on an arcade and he was working as a staff, then we found a Miroku cosplayer and I took his pic, then me and Stephy went fangirl over another Miroku cosplayer and took his pic and found Kevin later after and he led us to Robert. Robert was inside watching Gravitation so we came in and joined. I really love that anime now. I should get some DVDs of it soon. After an episode, we left and me and Stephy went into another bathroom. When we came out, they ditched us again. Me and Stephy looked at more art on the way since newer artists showed up on our way to the dealer's room. When we were in the dealer's room, we were looking through more stuff until I saw Robert and I was stalking him until Stephy caught him. After a while, I saw Teri and I caught up to him and watched him look at weapons. At the weapon area, someone gave him a free wooden sword. On our way out, we had to stop by at Con Ops to get it checked since Fanime has a weapons policy. We walked around and Stephy started taking pics of cosplayers, I dunno when this happened, but I think it was this one cosplayer, when Stephy took his picture, he asked her to bear his child. That was ******** hilarious! Around some point, we left Robert behind(or he ditched us) and we checked out the Art Show and Video Game Room. In the hallway with rooms leading to anime screening rooms and live events and panels, I started taking pics of Teri, Stephy, Myself, and Robert posing with the sword until we decided to stop somewhere else and rest. I really didn't want to spend too much on food so I headed over to a Starbucks and bought a coffee and cookie. I shared some with Teri and we ate until it was time to head over to the volunteer office and check in. We went inside and left our stuff and I remembered Teri had to get his sword checked in wuth Con Ops so I did that for him. The Con Ops pretty much told me to put the sword away in my hotel room and I was all thinking "But I don't have a hotel room. I'm staying for a day," so I put the sword with all the other stuff in the volunteer room and worked my hours. On our way to the dealer's room, we met Johnnathan and said our hi's and got settled into our spots. I got kinda bored after a while with my job so I called Dianna on my cell until Kevin switched places with Robert and I had to pay more attention to my job. Later, all the dealer volunteers except us left and so two of us guarded the entrance and the others guarded the exit and a dealer staff dropped off her scooter with us. While she was gone, we took turns joyriding it behind her back. I would ride it to the entrance to say hi to Robert and tease him, then I'd leave after and give someone else a chance. An hour later, all the dealer volunteers were gone except us. Me and Robert were at the entrance and Stephy and Teri were at the exit. I bugged the hell out of Robert. I was so annoying he tried to kill me. After a while, I switched places and later, everyone but me was at the entrance so I called Stephy to send one of them over to me because I was sad and lonely so Stephy came. Later, Teri came with two necklaces. He told me his friend gave him money and he bought one for me. Aww...how sweet could he have been? He didn't have to do this, but I'm still thankful(Note to self: STOP UNDERAPPREACIATING WHAT YOU GET YOU STUPID GIRL YOU!!!). We stayed at the entrance until the dealer's room closed. We checked in at the volunteer's room and we had to check out with the guy we worked with. We spent most of our time at another arcade. I played some piano-mania ish thing but I sucked too badly that I just gave up. I noticed the DDR machine was vacant so I played there. Damn, I'm starting to suck at it... After we spent all our tokens, we went over to a dealer staff and checked out. Turns out, they'll mail us a check a few days after the convention. We hung out outside until it was 7:00 and our rides were here. I had to wait a long time for my dad. Oh well...at least I found him. On my way I got Subway for dinner and at home, I updated this entry as much as possible. I'm really glad my friends enjoyed today. Me and Robert were thinking of selling some prints here. He'd do most of the drawing and I'd do the coloring. Well...that's about all for today. Good night.

June 19, 2005(YABAB Cultural Show):

Oh, and if anyone in 408 NorCal showed up in San Jose at the Independence High School theater to watch the YABAB show, I want to thank you all for the love and support! <3 u allz!!!

I was pretty much out all Sunday in the morning. I spent the whole morning advertising the YABAB show on myspace and I also got my clothes and accessories ready for the show. I also had some lunch before I got a ride to the Independence theater. I went an hour early with Shayeri since she needed to pick up Faezan and bring his guitar and amplifiers to the theater in her car because all the musicians had to arrive an hour early for sound check. On our way to the theater, we stopped by for gas(no, the alarm didn't go off...thankfully...) and went over to Target to buy a blue soap for the MC act because Shayeri, Shimmul, Imrul, Lia, Madhury, and Tonima were MCs for the YABAB show and they needed it for one of their acts. After we got the soap, we went in the car and she drove us to Independence High School. I had to help her get to the theater because neither of them showed up last Sunday for the dress rehearsal. I helped carry all the stuff and helped some of the people who showed up early glue the front and back covers on the program book for no apparent reason(was that really necessary? Why not leave it as it is?). While I was glueing the covers, I saw the picture of all the hip hop dancers posing for the picture and in the middle(between Nabilah and Tanaya in the pic), there was a picture of Kamal's face in the middle because he wasnt there when we took the picture. I found it rather hilarious. Me and Adnan showed it to Kamal after that. I got bored after a while so I sat in the audience and watched the musicians do their sound check. I got bored so I helped Nasser and Shehab place signs outside of the Independence High School theater to help people find their way here so that they dont end up getting lost. We even placed balloons on some of the signs. I went over to a sign to tape the balloon, then Shehab took it off and he "accidently" let go of the balloon and the wind blew it all the way into the street and another ballon got popped. I was ******** laughing my a** off!!! The YABAB flyers were also blown away from the wind and Shehab and Nasser were all chasing after them until Monika came to help us. We took the signs and taped them onto poles to guide all the people who show up to watch the show in the right direction because according to driving directions on Yahoo and Mapquest, the directions lead the drivers to a different spot so we placed signs to help them find their way. When we taped them to the poles, the wind started causing the signs to bend so we "borrowed" sticks and put them behind the signs so that people can see the signs more easily. After we put the last sign on, we had to rush back into the theater because the others are already practicing on the hip hop dancing and I'm supposed to be in it. Luckily I arrived back in time to practice a little bit and get ready for it before the show starts. It wasn't much practice, but it was worth it because the traditional bangla dancing needed to practice and use the boombox for their song. I noticed there was pizza nearby so I helped myself to some until it was time to get dressed for the show since it was going to start soon. It was kinda annoying how the guys kept on entering the girl's dressing room(especially the way Afsheen would go about doing it) because the guys used the hallway to a bathroom and locker room to dress and the girls used the dancing room(w/ all the mirrors and bars to provide support) as their dressing room. I put on my clothes for the wedding scene in the skit and relaxed backstage and helped myself to a Cherry Coke. I managed to see a few small parts of the skit before it was my turn to go onstage. Ugh... the damn technicians messed up on the mikes and killed my partT.T... God this place sucks! Thank god it was intermission afterwards. I dressed for the hip-hop dance, got myself a 7up(they ran out of frickin Pepsis dammit!T.T), and lounged around backstage. God, I looked like a ******** Indian Avril Lavigne(w/ loads of flab) in my clothes... At least I did okay onstage... Just before the English comedy act, there was a commercial and in the middle of the commercial, the screen went blank out of nowhere. Before hip-hop they tried another commercial and it worked fine. The goddamn ******** technicians ******** screwed up out ******** song in the hip-hop! They didn't even play the Black Star song correctly. Whose idea was it to have the show here? I just hope we don't end up with a crappy, half-assed theater like this again next year(hell, it's all about the EVHS one... I say ******** our school for charging so much for it). They also screwed up on the guitar microphones. I could barely hear Adib's guitar in the Aladdin song. These technicians suck c**k! After my dance, I changed for the fusion dance until ******** Afsheen walked in on us(at least he didnt see me...besides hes got a gf so he wouldnt wanna...), then continued after that "incident" and got onstage when it was time. When I was done, I changed into my normal clothes and posed with the other yababers for pics. When we were done, I checked all my stuff to make sure everything was there and I got a ride home from my parents. At home, I spent the whole night updating my xanga with this entry for hours and I'm hella tired so I'm gonna bounce. Night.
