When Daisaku returned to the tower, he met up with Supreme, who was formulating some plans.
"Right hand Supreme." He said firmly.
"Oh, Admiral." Supreme turned to him. "Back already?"
"Yes." He nodded. "I want you to scrap any further plans that don't concern the destruction of the Skulls. I also want to meet with everyone. And I mean everyone living in this tower."
"Is something bothering you, sir?" Supreme frowned.
"This is more important than anything I've ever asked of you, Supreme. Act accordingly."
"All right, then. But, where will you be?"
"I will be waiting outside." Daisaku said as he walked off.
I wonder what's on his mind. Supreme thought, then ran throughout the tower.
Supreme gathered everyone in the tower, and ordered them to go outside. Everyone stood before Daisaku. First, Supreme. Then Captains Pink, Orange, and Eddie. Then the Lieutenants Suzette, Jean, and Nero. Finally, the Phantoms and Ghosts respective to their units. The lesser units talked amongst themselves for a while, abuzz with questions pertaining to the meeting.
"My trusted followers." Daisaku said, once everyone was there. "I have some very important news to discuss with you all."
"So important that even the grunts had to attend?" Orange asked.
"Yes." Daisaku nodded. "For this will affect The Empire in its entirety. Things are going to be run a little differently, from now on."
"Sir, you're being vague." Supreme spoke up.
"What I'm saying is this: we will not be able to engage in any activities for a while. I've come upon a realization." Daisaku frowned. "And I've decided to turn myself in."
"What!?" Pink was shocked. "Do you mean The Empire is going to dissolve?"
"I don't know that for sure." He paused. "I spoke with the Police on my way here, and they said there's no guarentee of The Empire's future. They allowed me to pass the news onto you all, and that's why I stand before you today."
"Admiral." Eddie said. "What is going to happen now?"
"Well, we are going to face the consequences of our deeds. Captain Black was the only one who directly killed people other than Skulls, so his punishment would have been the worst. But, he's dead, so it's null and void. I must relinquish all our technology, as well as our Ghosts and Phantoms to the Police Force. The Lieutenants will work as Special Ops. And the Captains will need to do community service for the merchants and shopkeeps. After all has passed, you may decide whether or not you want to wait for me to return. When my sentence ends, you will all be free to go about your own lives."
There was a long pause.
"But..." Suzette broke the silence. "But, what will happen to you?"
"Me?" Daisaku looked at the sky. "As your leader, I take full responsibility of your actions, therefore it exceeds your punishments. The Police Force has decided that I should go to Archon... work to become an Anglette, then sacrifice my vengence to become an Arc. That way, there is no chance I will regress to my previous ways."
"That sounds serious." Pink frowned.
"I haven't heard of anything like that." Orange was confused.
"There are two major societies in Archon." Supreme told him. "There are the Angels, and there are the Arcs. Angels, such as the Guardian of Restoration, have earned their wings out of the power of their courage, or out of the pureness of their heart; through healing and energizing. On the other hand, Arcs are those who wish to attain more strength, in exchange for something of high importance to them. They are looked down upon by Angels, since they are less pure. In order to become either of these, one must become an Anglette, which is the small winged transition into either society."
"I understand." Orange nodded solemnly. "How long does your sentence last?"
"Until I have attained the status of an Arc, and have my name and good deeds known throughout Archon." Daisaku frowned. "It's going to be a long time. And it's going to be hard. But, in the end, it will all be worth it."
"I had no idea." Nero shook his head.
"I have to go, now." Daisaku sighed. "It was a pleasure to have worked with you all. When I return, I'll be a changed man. You are great people. Please, do not lose that greatness."
Daisaku flew up a little.
"Admiral!" Supreme called up. "When you return, I'm going to be stronger! And, I'll expect a practice battle against you!"
"That's a promise, isn't it?" Daisaku grinned. "Very well! I'll be sure to train hard!"
Supreme laughed, then Daisaku rocketted off into the distance.
"Well, this is quite a development." One of Eddie's Phantoms spoke up.
"We won't be returning to this tower for quite a while." Suzette said. "Whatever Daisaku and the rest of us leave behind will be subject to whomever may enter the tower."
There was a moment of solemn silence.
"Well, then." Supreme said, stretching. "Shall we head off to the first day of the rest of our lives?"
The Captains and Lieutenants nodded, then everyone left to do their duties.
After that, things passed as normal. The NetStars were left to handle crimes, aiding both the Police and the Vigilantes; while The Empire slowly but surely atoned for their crimes. During times of peace, Green and Pink would see each other, and go on dates. They loved each other a lot, but each was too afraid to admit it; though they still built their relationship as friends. Allysha and Orange became mutual sparring partners. With none of his former duties as a Captain to perform, Allysha wasn't as much of a worry to Orange as she used to be; and they too started developing passionate feelings for one another. They deny this fact, yet... when they're alone, their emotions start to reveal themselves. Ever since the beginning of the NetStars, Yellow was the one Blue most trusted. He felt that he could confide to her with anything, and she did her best to comfort him as he spoke of his woes. They would go on long walks together, and tell each other what was on their mind; eventually getting to the point where one was thinking deeply about the other. Suzette had realized how close Pink and Green had gotten, so as the days passed, her interest in him faded. Feeling alone, she only had one person to turn to as a friend; her former Captain Eddie. He welcomed her in his arms, and there they developed a long lasting bond. Daisaku was training hard, but he never disappeared from the minds of his followers, nor from the minds of the NetStars. Someday he would return, but until that time, they would all have to be patient.
