My Friends...
It's been so long, so very very long since I last saw all my friends together. For some reason, I feel very nostalgic today. Memories of happier times keep flooding into my mind, heedless of my resistance. As hard as I try, I can't escape the fact that I miss them. This wistfullness that I feel is deeply disturbing, I can't remember a time when I felt so isolated. Mallari is probably the one I miss most. She's in another state and hasn't been here in over a month, even our phone conversations are a bit strained now. Jenni is not the same person I met all those years ago, she's so much more jaded now and I never see her anymore. And even though I have a class with Jessi every Tuesday, It's been so long since I really talked with her. We used to be such good friends... Elise is never around, and even Alex is preoccupied these days, we see eachother but we don't see eachother. It's not the same with the whole pack separated. Eli is the same, but I seem to have lost interest in his company. David is also the same and we are still close friends, although schoolwork keeps us both too busy to hang out. What I miss most of all are the days when we were all happier. Those lazy days at Jenni's and Jessi's apartment, playing Nintendo or just being bored together. Those days in the field shooting arrows, or out in the woods of Town Lake making fires with Mallari, Alex, and Elise. I also miss those nights when we would sit on the benches at the park in the apartments with everyone, all of those things will never happen again. It's kinda strange to think about that now, and even stranger to feel so... strongly about it.
