Part 1 My name used to mean many things in many languages: Hope, peaceful, prosperous, beautiful, kind; all the translations reflecting who I was. Now my name means one thing in all languages, Revenge, the person that’s going to destroy everyone who abandoned me and all those who did nothing to help me. Hell was well, hell. Onis and demons flooded the place, as expected. As Queen and protector of my country it was my duty to go into hell with a few other companions. I made no formal or respective gesture as I approached him. He was sprawled out on a large stone throne. He wore a smug look as I stopped at the foot of the throne. His voice was like a snake, venomous and deadly. “And what do I owe this privilege of such a fine fire flower?” I stiffened. The sooner we got out of here the better. “We have come to ask you to come to peace with my country!” I declared. His eyes turned to slits, his smug smile replaced by a displeased frown. “I don’t like your tone! Be gone!” with a wave of his hand onis appeared by us. I stood rooted to the spot; I wasn’t going to back down not after everything I’ve sacrificed!!! My companions grouped together like sheep. I starred directly into the Devil’s greedy eyes. “No!” I stated simply. “What?” he checked his ears for a built up if wax. “no.” I said again but with more power and authority. He abruptly stood up pulling a dagger that had once sat idly by his side. “You dare defy me!! You insolent human! You shall pay!” he brought his fury upon my companions. His dagger slashed at their faces with their eyes now wild with fear and their weapons shaking in their hands. “They can’t last here much longer!! They’ll either die or sell their soul!!” I thought my mind racing for ideas. Abruptly the Devil changed tactics and aimed for me. Instinctively I blocked his dagger with my sword. This is the true turning point- the reason the Devil took me as his wife and set my other companions free to breath fresh air. No-one, but god, had ever challenged the Devil! And yet here I stand struggling to keep his dagger that hunger for my blood at bay. He parried my impulsive attack and while distracting me with showy tricks with his deadly dagger he did a very under handed trick. His clawed hands reached into my stomach reaching my inners. I heard several gasps and calls from my companions, but heard none of them raise their arms to fight for me. “Wretch beings.” At first I thought I had spoken my thoughts when I realized it was the Devil speaking. “None of them deserve to live. Yet you waste your life away doing good and protecting other while none of them would stand for you.” He grasped my lulling head and held it up to my companions. “If you wish to save her step forward or you may flee to your mortal world; I give you passage unharmed.” The Devil gave a slick smile of temptation. I searched the faces of all my followers, begging for some sigh of loyalty, but one by one they all fled to their houses, to their lives above Hell. Up above where the air is fresh and the wind blows through the long grass. They all left me for that. “tsk. Even after everything you did for them.” The Devil sneered, tightening his grip on my intestines. I convulsed blood causing the demons to go crazy. “Devour her, take her soul, and re-create her.” Said the Devil licking his bloody fingers. “then bring her to me.” The onis hovered over me for a few torturing seconds until they begin their work. Being released from my human body was excruciating. I thought complete emptiness is better than death now. My soul hovered watching, but not watching the last of my humanity go into the stomachs of hungry demons. With out any protests my soul was absorbed into a crafted onis shell. The body seemed too beckon and pull me in like it thirsted for my soul. The body felt alien-like and unfamiliar. I was lead blindly along a path towards a large lava pit. “Will you commit your life to me?” Asked his oily voice from behind me. I moved my lips, but no sound came. It was good enough as a audible “yes” to him. His right hand reached around and placed itself over my left eye. I didn’t feel him take the eye ball from my socket and replace it with another’s. I saw me from his perspective, how strange I seemed. A tousle of red hair that seem to change at will, black to brown to red, a different body shape nothing like my human body. More muscle mass, a larger brain compactly and rage and hate contorted onto my face. “keep your left eye covered always.” As he spoke his right eye was covered by slave souls as my left eye was shielded. I felt the rage toss inside my body, the hunger was unbelievable. The hunger for revenge made me narrow sited. I didn’t care what happened from now on, I wanted blood, but the blood of the guilty could only quench his thirst. As the Devil turn to leave I found my voice. “Teach me how to kill.” I looked into the eyes of my master, my spouse, my mentor. He grinned. “I’ll teach you how to kill.”
