Doll
Lifeless beings made of clay
sit-upright by you night and day
Jewel glass eyes bright and clear
the dolll you hold when the dark is near
a companion and friend when you feel woe
telling it secrets 'till the horizon glows
the Doll remains yours for all time
but nothing much is brought to its mind
hate it or love it; let your feelings flow
but its feelings for you will neither linger nor grow
