For the first time in about two years, I decided to clean out my art supplies box. Usually, every week, all I do is clean the brushes and remove the paint from the bottom of the turpentine jar. But this time, I got tired to trying to remove the supplies at the bottom of the box from the sticky residue of linseed oil and turpentine. So I removed the sheet of (clean) butcher paper from the bottom, and began to clean the crud stuck at the very bottom of the inside of my supplies box. It took about 40 minutes to remove as much dried linseed oil and other unknown substances from the interior of the box. Then I set to work trying to remove the dried linseed oil from everything else. As of right now, some of the supplies are submerged in warm water...to make it easier to remove the dried oil.
Now my fingers hurt, I have dried oil and paint under my nails...and I'm leaving for art class in about an hour and a half...with hopes that the oil will be removed from my supplies by then. ^^
