Chapter Two~



Chapter Two



“Princess, what are you doing at this poor home?” The first knight asked.
“Who is it, Sandria?” Kai asked from the kitchen, he put down his dish that he was washing, he dried his hands and walked to the door. He froze when he saw that two knights from Jahovia. He did not want Sandria to leave.
“Come back with us”
“NO!!! I ran away from the kingdom for a reason!” Lysandria shouted at them.
“But princess! It is your father’s order that we bring you back to the kingdom!” The knights tried to reason with her. “NO! You do what I say and go to my father and report that I have died by falling of a cliff!!” And Lysandria shut the door and tears ran down her face, she ran to Kai’s arms and began sobbing. The knights outside walked back, slowly.
“Oh Kai, what should I do! I know my father will not believe the knights and he will come back to get me!” She cried.
“Look at me,” he lifted up her chin, looking into her eyes “Don’t worry, if your father comes, I will protect you” Lysandria calmed down a bit. “Really?” She asked. “I promise” Lysandria’s lips touched Kai’s. “Thank you, Kai” Lysandria hugged him. They decided to go outside for a walk, they played with the snow a little bit then Lysandria sneezed and they decided to go back inside.
That night, the nightmares came back. Even though Kai was sleeping next to her, she still screamed. Kai woke up, “Sandria, what’s wrong!?” Kai asked. “I-I had a nightmare that my father killed you!” She sobbed, wrapping her arms around Kai. Kai held her tight. “Shhh, Its okay, I wont die, and your father will not kill me” He assured her softly. She did not answer, she cried herself to sleep. Kai gently set her down back on her pillow then went back to sleep again.
In the morning most of the snow had melted. Kai woke up earlier then Lysandria and decided to make some tea. Lysandria awoke to the smell of eggs and tea. She rubbed her eyes to fully wake herself. “Kai?” She walked to the kitchen. “I’m here” Kai replied. He walked to the teapot and poured it in two cups and handed one to her. “Drink” He said. She sipped the hot tea. Kai got her a plate of eggs with a piece of toast. The day passed slowly, nothing really happened in the afternoon, they went for a walk in the forest. They heard horses in the distance. The sound of the horses became louder and louder. “Lysandria!” Lysandria looked toward the sound. “Oh no! Kai, we have to get out of here! Its my father!” They started running, but it was too late. Someone grabbed her from behind, she twirled around. “Father!” Lysandria already felt tears welled up in her eyes. “Lysandria, we are going back to Jahovia this instant!” Her father’s voice boomed. Kai stared at the king in shock. “NO! I don’t want to go back!” Lysandria got out of his grasp and went to Kai’s side. “You want to stay here, with that peasant?” He pointed to Kai. “Kai is not a peasant! I love him!” She screamed. Kai took one step forward, putting an arm in front of Sandria. “Your majesty, If she wants to stay here, you should let her.” Kai mentioned quietly. “DON’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!” The king roared. He punched Kai in the face, Kai flung back and hit a tree. “Kai!” She cried. “Father, stop!!!” Lysandria screamed. “YOU ARE COMING BACK WITH ME IF YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!!” The king’s voice got louder. He tugged at her arm with great strength. “Kai!!” She screamed as she was being taken by her father. Kai woke up, he saw Lysandria being taken and immediately took action. He ran toward them and he tried to separate the king’s grasp on his daughter’s arm. “GET OUT OF THE WAY, PEASANT!” Some of the knights behind the king had him caged in they’re grasp, other knights got they’re hands on Lysandria and pinned her down.
“KAI!”
“SANDRIA!” They both reached for each other, they got a hold of each other’s hands but the knights were too strong and separated them. Lysandria was pulled by the knights and they started to walk away.
“SANDRIAAAAAAA!!!!!!”
“KAIIIIIIII!” They shouted for each other.
“Let me go! Let me go! Let me go!” She punched the knights. She knocked them out and she was let go. The king was on the horse, he did not see what happened in the back yet. Lysandria started running, they were far away from Kai’s home but she didn’t give up. Eventually Sandria got to his home. “KAI!” She saw Kai heading back to the house. He froze when he heard Lysandria calling his name. He turned around, he saw Lysandria running toward him he began to run toward her too. Sandria ran into his arms. “Oh Kai, I thought I had lost you!”
“Sandria!” They held each other tight. Kai kissed Lysandria, the kiss lasted long. After that they walked home together.
