with every action packed, blood-filled, story, you have to have some cool weapons. Devil May Cry does.

there are different weapons in every game but Dante and Vergil have there own special weapons that they carry with them everywhere.

Dante has three weapons
Rebellion: the sword that was past down to him from his father, Sparda. the Rebellion is powerful and has may different attacks, weather it slashing or piercing. it is as tall as Dante and is pretty big. it's also very sharp. When Rebellion awakens (when Dante transforms into a devil) it unleashes even stronger attacks and is almost impossible to avoid. Dante carries it on his back of hides it somewhere in the ceiling or ceiling fan.
Ebony and Ivory: Dante also has two guns that were made especially for him by his former friend Goldstein (she shows up and dies in the first novel) Ebony and Ivory were made to withstand Dante's quickness at the trigger. they're light and can handle a lot of pressure. they were made to complete each other. they're not demonic and only have the power that Dante shoots with but they're loyal guns. Dante carries them in holsters on his back.

Vergil has only one weapon and demonic "magic"/energy
Yamato: Vergil's trusted sword that was past down to him from his father, Sparda. the Yamato is thin, light, and as tall as Vergil. he can use it with much quickness which gives him the advantage of speed. Vergil can also blast demonic energy from Yamato which makes it hard to avoid from a distance. it's a lot harder up close. Vergil only takes out his Yamato when he is fighting a worthy opponent or when there are a lot of demons around who won't get out of his way.
Energy swords: Vergil doesn't believe that guns are considered weapons, so he summons glowing blue swords to take out far demons. these swords are kind of like guns but their made up of demonic energy so technically, their not. Vergil can summon these swords anytime without using up his magic/energy.

well, that's the lay down of the main weapons. there are a lot more but you'll have to find out about them by playing the games.
