I wrote the first chapter of Rockin' the Bronx yesterday- or at least half of it. It sucks! Man, I tried to write it in a more contemporary style than I usually write but I can't seem to pull it off. I'm used to writing in a more Victorian- esque style, even for stories taking place in the present (such as my main project, Sanguinary Lullabies) and I wanted to try something different but I really preffer the traditional style....
The only problem is that this flowery Victorian style won't go well with a story about gangs, Irish immigration and NYC.
Would it?
No.
