So, yesterday's entry was the definition of "lazy a**". I am really sorry, but the truth is there wasn't anything worth talking about on that day. It was basically all travel.
Anyway, we did arrive at the Aso Prince hotel the night before, and today we headed up Aso-san to see the Aso Volcano Museum. After we walked around inside for a while, we got to walk around Aso-san, which is really beautiful to see (and steep too).
Then, we took the bus (thankfully) up to one of the peaks that make up Aso-san, and afterward took a tram up to the crater. It's filled with blue-green water and the air around it is really really really sulfury. Burns your throat big time. >< It's only this bad on windy days, though. In fact, after we left, they stopped letting any more people up because it was becoming dangerous. Oops.
After that, we went to a temple where I got my fortune told. I also got a lucky charm with it, which Maiko told me about. It was a little golden-colored frog. Apparently, frogs in Japan are symbols of luck and good travel (how apropriate). This was also why Maiko's pointer had a frog on it.
After that, I finally got another mechanical pencil to replace the one I lost.
That's it. I know this one's not that hot either...
