I just saw Dreamgirls.
It was very sparkly and impressive, but I couldn't help feeling that the constant singing was trying to cover up something the film was lacking. It didn't always flow, and the character you were supposed to sympathise with kept changing, and not in a good, interesting and imaginative way. It was more like the writers didn't know who they wanted you to like and dislike, and they didn't know whose story they were telling... confused
I just thought it was really overrated, despite a good few strong performances.
