If you are never going to post anything of substance, please do not b***h and whine about how people ignore you.

" heart " does not get the responses like "How are you?"

"I hope you don't have the flatsale next week when I'm not here!" may get responses, but not the kind you're looking for. You have been met with silence out of pure politeness.

"*lurks*" is a good statement to show interest. Showing interest is a GOOD THING. It, however, should not be your ONLY statement of interest (Along with when you hope the flatsale ISN'T). Do not get pissy when people don't respond to it. Maybe the first time, people will be willing to say "hello". After the twentieth, we kinda figure out you have nothing to say.

While I'm on the subject, a bit of advice for EVERYONE:

Never, ever, ever whine about being ignored. Especially if you are in a thread where people often talk to you.

You are not always the center of conversation, and not everybody is going to drop RP/ their conversations/ their attention to focus on you and coo over your stubbed toe.

Not to say you can't post about your stubbed toe. But if you make ANY statement that doesn't pertain to the conversation at hand, be prepared to be ignored.

If you randomly spam something, don't expect everyone to click on it. If you don't get any responses, don't b***h that nobody cares. Don't huff and say "Well! I'll remember this the next time you want me to look at something!"

Yeah. You might make a statement, and NOBODY WILL CARE. That's life. I do it ALL THE FREAKING TIME. I make posts that get completely ignored, I do things that get completely overshadowed by something someone else is doing. My RPs get lost sometimes, and yes, it DOES annoy me when I describe someone as "hulking" and immediately get a response that someone's six-foot-tall character is towering over him. Do I whine in the thread? NO!

Do I b***h privately? Yes.

"YOU GUYS ARE IGNORING ME", to me, only states that you're an attention whore. I am not inclined to give attention to those who are demanding it.

If you feel ignored, contribute to the conversation. If you're still ignored, BACK OFF. Don't (always) take it personally.
