KILLER family gathering!!
You'd think hanging out with a bunch of elderly relatives would be a total bust, right?
Wrong, wrong... wrong!! I have the COOLEST familiy ever!!
Well my mom has these two cousins- twins- named Ronald and Donald... [poor guys] who are, like, awesome. Didn't talk to Ronald that much, but if he's anything like his brother, he's really cool. Donald and I were talking about music. I told him I play the sax and piano and he asked me if I liked to play jazz or classical.
Little did he know that those are my favorite types of music to play. I had to restrain mad laughter.
And then I met Danny. He's SO awesome. He's my mom's cousin's wife's adopted son from her last marriage. He's eighteen. We just started talking about random things, from being a cop which he hopes to do and what we thought it would be like to be an ant.
Haha.
He's such a gentleman, too- he wouldn't let my grandmother carry stuff back to our car. He insisted upon carrying for her, and he helped me run after my five year old "normal" brother.
I wish we could stay in touch- he would make a great friend, me thinks- but he lives in Pennsylvania, so I would never be able to see him.
I saw my favorite aunt, too! Well, she's my great aunt, Sue, but she's still probably my favorite relative, now next to Danny. Alright, maybe they're equal.
As my mom said, she's the type of person you'd think you should be sickened by, because she's just SO sweet, but it's so natural. She's not phony at all, she's just a very good, kind, caring, sweet person. It's hard not to like her. She wants me to come to Connecticuit to see her some time, and I want to do a feis there so she can watch.
