My Heart:
Red ashes, blood fields with blue rivers,
Yes this cracked red dirt you stand upon,
It’s old and abused, rust to show it no longer shines,
There’s no light in this world, this place, in the sky only pink-tinted darkness,
It’s always humid; suffocating cramped air with damp slime to coat everything but this ever-dry desert,
Too many earthquakes too allow for the humid to rid the ground of cracks,
Red ashes, blood fields with blue rivers,
This is where I live, but you don’t know me,
You can’t find this world I live in; but you are here,
You walk on this dirt; you swim in these rivers and lay in these fields of red,
Better than anyone you know the earthquakes, many quick trembling thuds,
Fear, pain, death, excitement, and love,
Do you know where you are yet?
I’ve taken you here many times,
Endless hours spent driving through the fields, across the rivers, and in the tunnels,
Dark tunnels, dried out and in need of reconstruction,
The roads are rough and worn with puddles of red,
All the lights broken save one,
It’s the northern star in my world,
A brilliant white against the red and blue,
You, it’s only you,
It is windy here, like the ocean only muffled,
Like when drowning in its beauty,
Short breaths of sound cover the land, lungs deflating,
If you really wanted you could leave this place,
You see, the exit is right over there,
Sure, it’s brighter out there, but in here is where I am,
Stay with me here forever,
Promise me you’ll swim in these blue rivers,
And lay in these blood fields,
Eat up all my red ashes,
So that you may feel all I feel,
When my heart is in your stomach,
And your body takes all that’s left,
Take what’s good and leave me,
So perhaps then I can rest,
Peace, pure bliss,
I’ll make a new home on your heart,
Then you’ll never need me,
For then we’ll never part.

Just a jot note-type poem I did a long time ago. Found it again while transferring my files onto my new notebook and thought it should get some feedback.
Comment please? ^^ Thanks. Enjoy.

That was beautiful! I love how, throughout the poem, you refer to "blue rivers and blood fields." And someone who knows how to spell! Great job, 5/5.
Check out my work, perhaps? - Report As Spam
