- Tic, I heard the sound of a clock. Almost as if beckoning for me to awaken. Rouse myself from my daydream. Toc, it pleaded with me. My eyes a blur looked over at a Grand father clock, its magnificent wooden engravings and gold cogs stared at me. Tic, it calls again to me, asking me to move. I look up at the ceiling feeling my energy deplete. The sorrow I felt was immense. Toc, awaken and run it pleaded. I raise my hand to move the hair from my face. My blood covered hand sent a shock through my body. My eyes widened in disbelief. The grandfather clock chimed loudly, screaming at me. Run, he said. Run and never look back, your time is almost up. I forced myself to my feet. My head pounding in a violent manner. I had no time as the clock had said. I had no time to wait around and be curious. Slowly I raced, from the desolate room, out into a small courtyard. I had to hurry I must leave. The clock stopped and my body weakened. Tic, your time is gone. Toc, you were too slow....
