The glass shards floated around his body. The distant sound of terror screams filled his ears. A terrible pain filled his body, and he had no feeling in his left arm. The only thoughts running through his mind consisted of Is everyone else ok?’
Turning his head, a sickeningly sharp pain thrust through his jugular vein. Knowing he didn’t have much time left, he fought to find his family.
Suddenly, His fingertips touched a warm fleshy substance. Through his blurring vision he could see what seemed like the most important thing in his life, His three year old brother. Scooting his body closer as best he could, he wrapped his finger tips around the arm. Clouded eyes looked upon his blooded face in shock and terror. A small hand gripped his and the child began to move closer.
Terror began to rise in his face when the sound of metal bending filled his ears. Pulling the child to him as best he could, he shoved him through a small open window. As the metal of the car began to crash around him, the child looked back at him. With his final breath he uttered one final sentence: “Remember the day, and never forget the face of death!” The truck on top of the small car collapsed and his last breath was squeezed from his body.

Description:
Wednesday we had a drunk driving lecture at school, so it inspired me to write this.
Thursday, My step sister was killed in a car wreck. I find it ironic if not foreshadowing that something bad like that was going to happen. I was having a weird feeling that yesterday wasn't going to be a good day, and then....TA DA! so yeah, Tell me what you think. - Date: 05/06/2009

- I think my heart just stopped as my breath was taken away... I believe in foreshadowing. I almost lost my eldest brother in a car accident back in 1996... I'm sorry for your loss, and I like this little piece that you have written. Good job and keep up the good work, k?
