• Old Ms. Shepard had a sweet little Pomeranian named Princess that always seemed to listen to her, like she understood her.
    One day Ms. Shepard and Princess were watching the news at around 9:00 pm when a urgent news alert flashed on. It read " Warning! Lock your doors because two very dangerous convicts have escaped the Middlefield prison. If you happen to see these smart, sneaky criminals, dial 911 immediatly. Thank you."
    It just so happened that Ms. Shepard lived only a few miles away from the jail. Soshe told her dog to do something. She said " If it's okay, lick my hand 2 times. If it's not lick my hand 3 times."
    After drinking the rest of her tea and changing into a nightgown, she went to bed and quickly fell into a light sleep.
    At about two in the morning, Ms. Shepard heard a loud crash downstairs. Then she felt her hand being licked two times, so she went back to sleep.
    At about 3, she heard another crash that sounded like a loud yip or yell, but then she felt the two licks on her hand and fell asleep yet again.
    But when she woke up again at around 3:30 she heard the loudest crash of them all, but worst yet, she didn't even feel the 2 licks, or even 3!
    So Ms. Shepard hurried downstairs. But when she arrived her jewelry that she kept out on display ( about 45 grands worth!) was missing. She turned into the living room and screamed.
    Her dog was lying on the floor dead, and written on the mirror with it's blood said, "Convicts can lick too"...
