Greetings.
  Hello.
Today I have decided to start a journal. The days have been passing rather slow and my guests have been limited, thus I'm afflicted with the dread of complete boredom. This I feel may be the only productive piece of work I will accomplish all day. And who would not like to keep some sort of personal journal anyhow?
Now what shall I write?
Maybe the weather, it was unusually sunny this morning. Everything was lit up perfectly and it was warm, so I took a short walk, but to my horror I crossed paths with a black cat in the garden. So far, nothing of bad luck has come my way and I have my doubts if anything will happen at all, but I've been admittedly cautious. Sebastian, noticing this, told me that I had nothing to worry about and went on for a few moments about how he adored cats. Apparently, his adoration led to the cat being there in the first place.
Bard, our chef, noticed I was a little restless and offered to make me a simple sandwich. I should not of told him I wanted it slightly toasted, for he succeeded in reducing my sandwich to an unrecognizable black ash that reminded me of the charcoals in the fireplace. He apologized and insisted he would try again, but by that time I had lost my appetite.
I made my way down the hallway and noticed Meilin, our house maid, in a fit over a puddle of broken glass. Apparently she had been dusting a decorative plate that had been hanging on the wall, and in all clumsiness, dropped it to the ground. I assured her it was no problem, as the plate could easily be replaced, but advised her strongly to stay away from my precious Phantomhive family dinnerware.
Continuing on, an hour or so before I retired to my room to begin this journal, I confronted Finnian and complimented him on the garden which was looking perfectly beautiful and healthy, probably the best I had seen it since our last guest. He happily accepted my words, but also added that he had had a little help.
So, a typical day for me really. I'm sad because I've nothing else to write of. Perhaps tomorrow something more eventful will occur.
