So I saw a topic in LI while doing my usual lurking about whether or not you should date someone with a great personality but bad looks. My take on it is this: even though personality is a huge factor in a relationship, carnal instinct decides it all in the end. It's not a bad thing, but underlying mating instincts decide what happens in the relationship. Look at it this way: the Hunchback of Notre Dame is a sweet, caring person, but would you date him?
A lot of people say that if you care about looks, you're shallow. I think not. Like I said, instinct kicks in. It's not fair to call people shallow for thinking looks are importance.
What do you guys think?
