My grandma has several brother's and sisters. She's one of the oldest, at seventy-two.
Her younger sister, Martha, has had two heart attacks within the last month.
Her blood is clotting badly. They have had to put so many stints (I think that's what they are) in that a bypass surgery is impossible.
They are taking shots in her arm, or something. I'm not sure what. But I know that they always have to do it in a new spot because the blood clots too quickly.
They will be doing some sort of a blood thinner soon, and she's on a baby asprin.
She's only sixty-eight years old. One of the youngest of the big family of hers. We don't know how much longer she'll be around.
I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to go an visit her. My mom and my brother have, and I wish I could have gone with them today, but I had a class to go to and I couldn't.
I hope I'll be able to see her soon, before it's too late.
One way or another, my aunt Martha is going back home soon. She won't want to die in a hospital. I know her.
I just hope that when she gets to go home, it's because she's well again.
