...Even when doing what's right isn't what's easy. It wasn't easy to say goodbye to Schmerz. It wasn't easy to disregard two years of history together.         It wasn't easy deciding that the long, hard battles they fought to stay together eventually didn't amount to enough to stay by his side a little longer. In fact, saying goodbye and walking away from Schmerz was one of the hardest things he'd ever had to do. There were moments in his life when he was sure he would live or die for Schmerz. Inbetween the periods of indescribeable heartbreak and euphoric, omnipotent bliss a wide range of emotions passesd between them, from hatred to love and back again. It was an emotional rollercoaster he'd strapped himself into one too many times, and it was time to step off the ride and move on to something... to someone more stable, more... more... committed.         It was fun, being reckless and young. It was fun, being spontaneous and impulsive. But he had to grow up now, grow up fast. He had a little girl on the way and he needed to straighten himself out and be the father he knew he was meant to be. His daughter was his entire world... and if Schmerz was the 500,000-ton meteor hurling towards it at a billion miles an hour, by Deus, he would do everything in his power to stop it.
