Element Fighter Ch. 6 Part 2
In Maxx’s attempt to check on Lee Ann’s safety, Jason had struck a blow on Maxx with a deadly burst of water in a snake like form. Maxx was slung back against the wall, looking similar to Lee Ann’s downfall. To my surprise, when the water retreated, Maxx’s shirt was ripped.
“Can’t you do better than that, dragon?” Jason yelled, leading into an evil laugh that seemed to shake the world. I ran toward Jason with my hand on my sword hilt. Jason stopped laughing and glanced my way. I began to take my sword out as I approached him. He moved into a martial arts stance, and the next thing I knew, I was laying on the floor with no sword in sight. I spun around to see Jason throw my sword into the fountain, turning the water black for some odd reason. The blackness crept over the water like a mud in puddle.
I realized I had only one thing left- fire. What good was fire going to go against a water element fighter? This was a problem when I often battled Eylon. In a split second, Maxx leaped onto Jason, but Jason threw him back. The next thing Jason did was use a spell of water. He spoke in an old, ancient language. The spell caused a black cage surround Maxx made of water. Being his stubborn self, Maxx touched the water, sending a lightning streak around him. The lightning streak was obviously causing Maxx truck loads of pain; I clenched my jaw.
“By the way, dragon, the longer you’re in that cage, the more painful it becomes.” Jason remarked as the lightning subsided. Then he turned to me, awaiting for combat. For a few minutes I rushed at him, landed some kicks and punches; the result was him throwing me across the room. I was leaning against the wall, bruised and bloody. He almost had no scratches on him. Then it hit me, the blood-thristy state. I looked into his eyes, and for the first time, I saw fear. I stood, ignoring the pain and blood.
“So, are you ready for the real fight to begin?” I laughed. He backed up half a step. I laughed an evil laugh as fire erupted from my palms. The fire circled me as I raced for Jason, but the outcome was different this time. I burned him. Fire burst and he dodged, burning his arm. I knew I was out of control, and I could do nothing about it. The next thing I knew, he was on the ground, badly burned, and I was standing over him, laughing.
He screamed, “Y-You monster! Y-Y-You’re out of control!” He stammered a lot during the last sentence. I picked him of by the collar of his shirt and tossed him aside. The water fountain was in front of me now and the fountain’s black water shined as black as coal. I could faintly see the glow of the crystal. Strolling over to the fountain Jason screamed, “Don’t touch the crystal! It’s under a black spell!” Too bad I didn’t care at that point. I reached into the black water to find it gooey as I found the crystal. I grasped the crystal and extracted it from the fountain. The crystal glowed a bright blue as blue and beautiful as the sea. Then, the glow turned black as the night sky. “I told you!” Jason yelled in the background. It was too late, though. The new crystal burned in my hand, and it was changing me- physically and mentally.
