so uh about that hime huh;;
i guess how i characterize hime is the chaos part
she wants to be true neutral but she's more chaotic neutral (or is it the other way around)
and her shyness isn't pure anxiety (it sort of is but this one doesn't let fear get in the way of things she needs to do)
but more like,, she doesn't know what to say?
remember: she spent yr 3-4 in a cage as a feral child; yr 4-5 in a hospital bed w/ hunter & a dead boy for company (lady sia & oreo only do regular checkups not regular convo); yrs 5-8 with shishou on his empty world,, ok so there's the tiger lord & animals + all her missions/patients but well...they aren't regular social situations - there's a power imbalance in all of that, she holds power over them so it doesn't really matter what she says??,, it's a role; and i guess her first real convo as equals is with takeshi but even then she was talking him off the roof so uh
i feel like a lot of her interactions have the other party in awe of her;; or like they're her patient lol
so in this specific au it's she spends yrs 8-12 in namimori with the hibaris (piyo doesn't exist in this world?? idk b/c kyouya seems to be an only child here lol - aka no alaude either uh) & then age 12+ she's living with asha ashitaka & sakura (and servants) as well as 'ambrus' (shishou) in a 3-room apartment in mikado city
and i think that first conversation with tachikawa (the elder) is the first convo that's truly equal & where she's not being made fun of/snobbed or anything
b/c even ashitaka who acts all exasperated with her is under her power, quite literally
and shishou ofc feels guilty but also doesn't?? anyways hime's interactions with him include quite a bit of negative energy so it's not regular convo either
i guess anyone she knew Before (even the ones that aren't afraid of her/her patients) are sort of tainted with her goal at the time??
so mikado city peeps are really a new start; in a way namimori was but she wasn't quite as adjusted back then so ...also a lot of them feel they owe her for stuff so they have this feeling of... gratitude/awe towards her? so equals but not exactly
