Aureli/Ossidi comes from the old EI the Saint Ciel series that spiraled out with more Evolving Items including Rosamund, Rose Saga, Ravenwood Manor and Mephiste. It also included the item, "Rose Wedding." Aureli is Rosamund's Kingdom and Ossidi is Mephiste's Kingdom.
From the old Saint Ciel Series: Ciel (is a human knight) and Rosamund (is an Elf Princess) end up being lovers, Mephiste is an entity that, practically is jealous of their love because they can love and it can not. For Rose Saga, they introduced an Modern AU in which Mephiste became a girl and "forced" Rosa(mund) to be their girlfriend while Celes(Ciel) was a student drawn to their past from a book, they became lovers again. Rosamund was just an item based on the female love interest from the Ciel series (Ciel is the Endgame while Eros is not.) The "Rose Wedding" item is literally Rosamund's and Ciel's wedding.
The L'Historie de Mephiste introduced Mephiste as a girl, again, named Briar in which they also introduced Saffron as ancestors and Briar got cursed through the story turning into Mephiste. Ravenwood is mentioned because of the creepy silhouette within the item itself is supposed to represent Mephiste. Mephiste wants love and will do anything to get it, so it was cursed to be "forever alone." Also, I'm sure Mephiste's Race (another sort of Elf) wasn't allowed to love outside their own.
So, more than likely, the 2k15 BFS was finally the War between Aureli and Ossidi, despite it needing to be a War between Ciel and Mephiste considering it wanted Rosamund, but I am sure there's a different storyline this time around in the form of another AU, considering there are actual RPG Classes for each side for this year's BFS.
