It was fun! I only went on Sunday, because Saturday was more of a test day and it didn’t seem worth going to when there wasn’t any interesting panels, no artist alley/dealer’s room and was half a day. I guess it would explain why there was such a huge line yesterday for the artist alley/dealer’s room. It kept going for hours and it finally dwindle down when it was near closing time (which was at 7pm). It’s also part of the reason why we didn’t go to any of the panels and workshops, because we spent majority of the time waiting in line twice.
Usually my friends and I just browse the entire tables before making purchases and then leave and come back to buy whatever we made up our minds to get. The previously years it was a quick and easy process to get in and out, but this time it seem to have grown a lot. I guess people forget that there’s a room maximum capacity and with how many are now going to the convention it means longer lines to get in there.
But the wait was worth it. Last year I didn’t get a lot of things, but this time I was pleasantly surprise to find so many great things. I kinda wish I bought along more money, but I already had a lot on me to begin with. What I got was…
Yu Yu Hakusho Print - It was of the whole cast. I was surprise to see something of it because it’s an older anime and they’re usually ignore for the more popular/newer anime/manga.
Supernatural Print - It was of Dean, Sam and Castiel. It was cute and I’m always happy to find Supernatural stuff, even though it tends to be rare at these kinds of convention.
Devil May Cry Print - One print was of Dante and another was of Vergil.
Resident Evil Print - Just of Wesker, which I got it as a gift for my friend since she couldn’t come.
Button Pins - I got the N7 logo from Mass Effect, the Strawhat Pirates logo from One Piece, Vault boy from Fallout, the Avengers logo, Wonder woman logo, a bunny, the main cast from Yu Yu Hakusho and from One Punch Man I got Saitama, Genos, License-less Rider and Speed-o’-Sound Sonic.
Phone Charms - I only got Saitama and Genoes from One Punch Man and I got an extra free one of Supernatural, which is funny because I got it from the previous year.
Flower Crown - I could have made one myself, but ehhh I’m lazy and I couldn’t off the chance of one done nicely already. Maybe I’ll try making one my own when I’m in the mood.
Hair Chopsticks – They’re pretty cute. I got them in a color that can work with anything that I wear.
Luna Fake Leather Bag - This was an unexpected surprise. It’s basically a super cute cat purse and it’s an Sailor Moon x Samantha Vega fashion collaboration item. It looks authentic, but I know it's not the real deal. It's just a really well made knock-off. If you look at them closely, usually such bags are missing things like the logo (or it’s placed wrong), the stitching is poorly done (especially around the straps – which will break), it doesn’t have the cute print inside it, and so on. This bag seems to match nearly perfectly with the one on the designer’s website. I didn’t spend too much (or too little) for it. In the end I’m happy with it, because I always wanted a cute bag like this.
