History
Abandoned at birth, Emmerich knows nothing about any family he might of had. Left on the steps of a German-style monastery deep in the country, there has never been a way for the man to even try to discover his own history. At an early age Emmerich realized this and completely gave up on this dream, turning his focus instead to the monastery and what life entailed there. Growing up surrounded by holy texts, Emmerich soon developed a deep love for reading, and an even deeper love for the notions of good an holy.
By the age of sixteen, Emmerich had read every text the monastery had, and began reading the work of the older philosophers and political scientists. Focusing on what was to be called the Modern period, Emmerich fell in love with the works of Machiavelli, Hobbes, Locke, and even Rousseau. However, Emmerich found them all to be incomplete independently. And, as such, at the age of eighteen, Emmerich penned his own novel, combining his religious background's concept of the good and what humanity was, with a mesh up of what the great thinkers claimed. The result was a four hundred page dissertation that revealed Emmerich's view of the world and the people in it, including the monks at the monastery. Declaring all of humanity inherently selfish, and blaming it on Original Sin in the State of Nature, Emmerich's work sent shock waves through the monastery, bringing incredible amounts of condemnation down on him.
With his writings in tow, Emmerich was banished from the monastery as a misguided youth that could not be reformed. Taking with him years of training and knowledge, Emmerich set out with a new purpose in life: the eradication of evil and the spread of his knowledge that was contained in his dissertation.

Weapon(s) Name(s):
• Purity
Weapon Abilities:
• Rumored to cleanse evil from all it touches, Purity is Emmerich's prized possession. Forged from the same type of metal that makes up Heaven's own swords, the blade will never dull, never shatter, and never tarnish. There is really no power inherent in the blade, however. The rumor likely comes from the blade being used to kill those that were evil.
