I love Halloween. There’s a tradition that I follow every Halloween.
There must be Halloween decorations in the house, especially in my room.
Candy! There needs to be a s**t tons of it. It’s the only time in the year that I can get away with buying and eating so much candy. That’s why I stock up on candy and it’s all for me. I don’t share and I’m not sorry. This is my s**t, I’m looking at you trick-or-treaters.
I will forever watch Hocus Pocus and Halloween Town. It is my childhood summed up in two movies. So don’t be surprise to see that in my list of movies to watch on Halloween.
The house must smell like bake goods, mostly pumpkin pies or cookies. It might smell like that because I’m making them or I got a couple of candles to make the house smell good.
Pumpkin pies. I love them. I also eat them for Thanksgiving. Better yet, give me two pumpkin pies. I missed out on last year because of super storm Sandy.
I dress up, even if I’m not going anywhere. I’ll sit on my couch watching horror movies with my face painted up like I’ve been butcher by a serial killer…or monster from outer space. Or would I be dressed up as the monster who’s been murder by a human? You may never know…(insert twilight zone opening theme).
Seriously though, this isn’t some family tradition or anything. It’s just something that I personally do because I enjoy Halloween. It’s such a fun and creative holiday.
Fact: I will be doing this until I died. So get use to the idea of me as the little old lady (who may or may not be crazy) with at least two cats, throwing herself a private Halloween party. If you’re ever invited bring your own candy because I sure as hell won’t be sharing mine.
