I’ve notice a couple of things with this episode, “We Need to Talk About Kevin”.
This post will contain spoilers!
Dean ignore Sam’s offer for food, didn’t grab a bag of chips from the vending machine and didn’t grab a beer. It’s odd because he loves food and he doesn’t pass it up (remember they had to eat natural healthy food because of the Leviathans drugging the fast/junk food). So add onto the fact that Dean was in Purgatory it wouldn’t have been surprising if food was the second thing on his mind once he got back to Earth.
Also, speaking of food and Purgatory, what has Dean been eating? He was in there for a year so the only conclusion I can think of is the monsters in there? It just doesn’t seem like a place where there are fishes, cows, and growing apple trees and whatnot. All of which are meant for humans and Purgatory is a place for monsters. Purgatory was pretty much describe as a dog-eat-dog place. Everything in it is dangerous, always out to get you and in order to survive you have to kill and be constantly on guard.
What happen to Castiel? I wonder what Cas did the first time in order to escape. I want to know! I have a guess that he did something similar to what he did in the “Point of No Return”. In the episode he help Sam to keep Dean from becoming Michael’s vessel. He, craved a banishing sigil into his own chest and activate it in the presence of multiple angels in order to clear the way for Sam and Dean. So that they can attack Zachariah and save Adam.
The effects of the sigil send him onto a fishing boat, making him completely human. I think, or maybe it just really weaken him so much that he was pretty much human with a little bit of angelic powers? Either way, that should be enough for him to be able to get out of Purgatory. So…that might be how he gotten out the first time? Maybe…
But what we do know is that there’s a way for humans to escape Purgatory, according to Benny. It must be true because if Dean was able to escape because he was human, then why can’t Cas too? He could become human. It’s not like it’s impossible, it did happen in season 5; episode 4, “The End”. But it doesn’t look like that’s what happen from how Dean is acting.
How did Dean and Benny become such buddies? It’s not a bad thing but it just worries me that it’ll be one of those bad guy turns out to be good but is actually a bad guy, like it was with Ruby. Or maybe Benny really is a good guy? After all, Eleanor Visyak, an old friend of Bobby’s turned out to be a creature that escape Purgatory. She wasn’t evil. So it’s possible that Benny is like that too? I don’t know but I’m definitely curious about his character. He does seem interesting and possibly not like the typical vampires we’ve seen.
Oh, and I wonder what Benny was talking about, saying how he agreed with Dean that Purgatory is “pure” and wishing that he appreciated it more like Dean?
Lastly, what is the deal with this veterinarian? Sam went out of his way to bring the dog for help/care after he accidentally hit it with the car. That actually makes him a good guy. It’s very rare to see drivers who hit innocent animals accidental or whatnot do that. From personal experience I’ve seen animals ran over, instantly killed and the drivers don’t even have the decently to get out of their cars and do something about it. They just keep going, not giving a ********.
It’s…forget it. I’m going off topic. Point is, I just don’t like the fact that she’s guilt tripping him into taking the dog in even when he said he can’t care for it. If I was the boss at that animal hospital I would’ve fire her. Pushing someone in to taking an animal isn’t going to help it or the person. All that will lead to is more trouble.
We all know that Sam will do the right thing, find a home for it. But this Vet doesn’t know Sam, so how would she know he wouldn’t just abandon the dog? Meh, unprofessional. I hope she’s not Amelia. If anything I hope it’s someone else that he came across in his mini adventure of finding a good home for the dog.
Can’t wait for the next episode…WAS THAT THOR’S HAMMER?!
