This one of the tagging etiquette in Tumblr and it’s the main thing that most people don’t do. I advocate people to tag their stuff, even reblogs because it’s so helpful and it makes Tumblr organize when it’s done. People with Tumblr Savior can blacklist things they don’t want to see and it keeps them from being upset while everyone can still post what they want. But there will always be those people who refuse to tag their stuff because they’re just lazy and don’t care to be mindful of other people.
There are also people out there who don’t have Tumblr Savior. It could be for varies reasons why they don’t, it just doesn’t work on their computer, they don’t have permission to download it/anything because it’s not their computer, it’s broken/glitched, doesn’t work on their phone, they don’t want to download it in fear of Tumblr taking action, etc.
So there’s not much those people can do to avoid seeing things they don’t want to see. All they have to rely on is people who are courteous enough to use the read more break when it comes to spoilers and porn. But again, there’s people who don’t give a s**t. They just have to hope is that they put a spoiler alert in the title of their post or the beginning in their text before the spoiler. But that’s wish fulfillment thinking that they’ll do that much.
Then there’s the people who say that if you hate spoilers or whatnot just avoid going on Tumblr. While that’s something people can do, not everyone wants to put everything on Tumblr on hold just because there are some people who aren’t courteous enough to mark their stuff. You know? People shouldn’t have to let the few ruin their experience because they don’t tag stuff.
