I am sick and tired of seeing trash everywhere! Just yesterday someone in a car bought new sneakers and kept the sneakers but chunk the box out the window of their moving car. What the hell is wrong with them? Would they do that in their own neighborhood? No. Would they do that if a cop was around? No. It's a wrong thing to do but they still do it because "ils s'en calissent'' (which means they don't give a f*****g f**k).
Oh! But I'm sure they'll care when taxes are being raised and how there's so much litter around or potholes or cracked and lifting sidewalks, etc. Where do they think the money goes too? Not just to the schools but to maintaining public properties and that includes litter and garbage clean up. The more they got to clean up s**t the more money goes into that.
Really. If people didn't litter that money for clearing up could be used elsewhere. I just don't understand why are some people are so incapable of picking up their garbage and putting it in a trash can. These people argue that there aren't enough trash cans. Well, what's stopping you from carrying your garbage home or to the end of the street? No one but your laziness and selfishness, of course.
I'm just one of those people who stick things in my pocket or hold it until I can find a place to dispose of it. Or if I'm on the road I DON'T throw s**t out of my window. It's not like it's going to kill me if I keep the trash on the passenger side of the car or back seat until I get home or somewhere to throw it out. I'm not a huge environmentalist, but I do wish people would do simple things like be responsible and not litter.
I didn't want to rant about this but I figure this is just something I should post. After all, I can't yell at the people who do it. But I can write this and hope that when people read this that maybe they'll think twice about acting like two-years who can't clean up after themselves. And for some reason I don't think the kids in the neighborhood (or me and my friends) should have to trip over beer cans, condoms, and syringes when they go outside to play/have fun. Or at least not have to deal with that crap when traveling to other places.
If taxes or doing the right thing isn't enough to think twice, just remember that littering is unsightly, unhygienic and attracts rats and all kinds of vermin. No one wants those kind of things in our neighborhoods or cities. After all, those things get into our food, spread diseases and all kinds of nasty stuff around so think of our children, our families and friends.
It's times like this that makes me want a shirt that I once saw, it said "If you litter, the only real trash is you".
