Dream: When Mutants Rule the World |

This is a long a** dream I had last night. I feel like writing it down because it was interesting and exciting unlike the dreams I've recently been having. At first I was gonna just write it down like an observation but instead I will write it like a story with a bit of summarization since I'm lazy at times. XD
Here it is..... In a dark, apocalyptic, future Earth, the human race was almost extinct and a new race was emerging. A race that only people of the past would have thought impossible and just a child's dream or a fantasy story. But no, it became a reality. At first these new humans were viewed with fear and hatred but eventually their amount grew, becoming most the of the world's population. The original humans slowly dwindle down to a few, some of them walked among the new humans in peace while the others went into hiding, wanting only to destroy them. Those humans tried, but their numbers were too small and the new humans were greater in number and much more powerful. Mutants. That's what those new humans were. Some had abilities to control one or all the elements, others could run around the world in a half a second, or lift buildings into the air, or fly, or even teleport or possibly freeze time. Others could transform into animals, some into creatures that one would only see in a nightmares. They are many things they can do and it's hard to keep track of all them, not knowing for sure what each is capable of doing. Eventually, though, a growing problem with the Mutants started to show. Not all of them wanted peace and used their powers for good. No, some abused them for evil, doing horrifying crimes. It got worst over the years and the damage was slowly effecting the Earth and becoming more apparent. The Earth was already suffering from the pollution and now it was getting warmer, more dangerous. When disaster struck, what little order the Mutants had everything went down. Cities collapse, new diseases appear, entire portions of the world were wiped out, whether it was from the wars with each other or from Mother Earth's revenge. In the end, though, the original humans are still around but very rare to see or ever meet one in person. The Mutants' population suffered greatly but they still had the greater number. At some point an humanoid alien race appeared, asking for a new home since theirs had been destroyed by an asteroid. They were pretty advance in technology but only when it came to spaceships and using natural, safe resources for energy. Many question their claim and wonder if they could be trusted. Taking a leap of faith, most of the Mutants believe them and accepted them. In return the aliens helped them, reversing the damage done to the Earth and slowly healing it. The Earth was getting better but the Mutants were not. They still had problems with criminals and the some of the aliens had problems with them for the lack of order and evil inside them. ***It is in that time, that my dream takes place. *** The time where aliens and mutants are at war with those with darkness in their hearts. I am a human...not a new human but one of the original humans. I've been in hiding most of my life, afraid of being targeted for my lack of uniqueness. Or worst hunted down and killed. There have been cases where some Mutants wanted to get rid of all the humans since we're already becoming extinct and they thought it was pointless to delay the inevitable. Luckily, not all mutants were bad and the good ones put a stop to them before they could reach their goal. Of course, when that happen many of us went into hiding. Some wanted revenge but that didn't get them anywhere and only made the rest of us look like dumbasses. It also give the bad Mutants more of a reason to try it again but they didn't. After that, they turned their attention onto other things and causing other problems. When the s**t hit the fan. Things started to get better. Everyone was scared of dying or the world blowing up because they all were being stupid selfish pansies. Than an amazing thing happen! Aliens! Of course, at first they trigger everyone's fear of an alien invasion and the Earth being blown up. But once they got pass that, the aliens turn out to be pretty cool. The best way to describe them is ninjas with their peaceful ways, mediating methods and ninja-like moves. Also for a bunch of aliens, they didn't look that bad. Surprising they looked almost like a combination of those tall beautiful elves but only reptilian-looking. It's a weird combination but it strangely works for them. Things are starting to look up ever since the they arrive and with their help things are also starting to better with the planet. Anyway, point is the future isn't perfect and it's a scary a** place. I'm unlucky to be human...hell I'm just plain unlucky to be born during this time period. I happen to be hiding out in an old abandon high school, funny enough it also happen to be the high school I went to. Of course when the disaster hit, this happen to be one of the section to receive most of the damage and it's where many of the rejected Mutants hide out too. The school is our home, our base. The small parking lot across the school is where we grow our own food. It's pretty much where majority of our food come from because it gets pretty difficult to find non-perishable food in the broken down city. But we manage to get by well enough. Majority of us living here are young and we work together to help one another. What race we are, what we look like, what we can do...all that doesn't matter. What matters to us is to live, that we all have that will to keep going, to dream and to hope. Tonight I was on night guard duty, a couple of us take turns keeping guard of the school and rotating shifts so each person can get some rest that night. All of us have some sort of job to perform and mine was night watch. It was the only thing I could do that didn't make me completely useless or at least that's how some of them see me as. I was actually the only human around and everyone else was a Mutant or a rejected one. I tried to do other things but they only found me a nuance, like once I tried to help with the vegetable garden only to get kicked out because little miss green thumb was picky with who handle her green babies. Not my fault I mistook that spice plant for a weed! Night watch was always boring, it gave me too much time to think. So I picked up the habit of going to the roof and look up at the stars. It's only when I do that I forget all about thinking and just stare. Staring at the stars, trying to find which is brighter and what sign they form. Doing that was much better than thinking. Thinking only distracted me and it was important to be on alert. Again not every Mutant is nice and a few of them had caused problems for us, some were so bad that they had to be dealt with quickly. They certainly won't be causing anymore problems in the future. Only a few were decent, some staying just enough to gather their strength before leaving. I have yet to see an alien come by, but I doubt one would. They live in their ship, there's no need for them to ever explore Earth when they have everything they need in there. But a few of them have been know to mingle with the Mutants, in order to show their gratefulness, politeness and hope that some of their kind quality influence them. Tonight it was pretty chilly. You only had a couple of minutes left until your shift was over and someone else would come over and take over. Certain things changed like before it would be you that would look for your replacement but to prevent from someone sneaking in or attacking during that time the watcher isn't around. They decided it was best to have people on night watch set their alarm clock or wrist watch to wake themselves up and takeover the shift they're suppose to do. "Hey. It's time and you know you shouldn't be up here." Surprised, I snapped my head over to the doorway to find Java. He was the one that always took the shift after me and he was pretty friendly. He also happen to be a Mutant, one that consumes coffee like crazy and it seems like a fitting nickname for him since he refuse to go by his real name, let alone allow people to know what it is. Though I have some sources that tell me his name is a girl one. Something like Mary or Maria while other sources say it's a name like d**k or Asston. Who knows but no one can't blame him for wanting a cooler name to go by if it's something like that. One thing I know for sure is that his nickname has nothing to do with his ability. He's a teleporter, capable of going anyplace he wants as long as he's been there or has the exact location of where it is. Otherwise, he might teleport to who knows where and die because of a miscalculation. "Hey. Yeah, whenever you show up I know." I said, getting up and stretching my back. "I can't help it. It's a lot nicer looking up at the stars than being stuck in a crappy building that's gonna fall any minute." "I know but rules are rules. King is already a whiner, don't give him more of a reason to complain just because you couldn't stay inside the building and look out of the windows. The least you could do is make an effort in hiding with a black blanket so you'll blend into the roof." "True. That would stop him from bugging me. I would still be out of sight but also have a clear view of everything around the building. But next time than." I said, waving him a goodbye as I walked to the door. "Do you want me to take you to the school?" he asked, following behind me. "It will only take me a second so it's not like I'm breaking a rule." "If it's fine with you than it's fine with me." I replied, smiling. He nodded, placed his hand on my shoulder and just like he said, a second later we were back at the school and he smiled before vanishing from sight. The awesome thing about a teleporter is when they have the night shift after you and you get free rides to the school, especially when you're not that close to the school. But that's how the night watch is, everyone is assigned to a certain time and a certain place. I just happen to have night watch from across the school building. It was to keep an eye out on the other side of the street in case there were people walking or trying to sneak to the school. There were some Mutants further ahead from the school taking watch because if they saw a problem they can give the school a warning before the trouble reached them. But for me since I'm only human I took watches that were close to the school or inside the school. If something was to happen I would be the first to go. Once I reached the third floor, I headed to my classroom. It wasn't necessarily my classroom but each classroom was basically a bedroom and everyone had to share it or at least those that were assigned to it. There's only one rule though, the males and females can't share with each other. It's to give everyone privacy and not have to worry about any harassment or whatnot. The classroom I'm in, was pretty crowded but not so much that no one could walk around without stepping on anyone's hands or something. Most of the classrooms are used as sleeping areas and all that are in it are beds, sleeping beds, luggages, book bags or what ever type of bag, all of them contain clothes and other stuff. The other empty classrooms are used for other things, almost similar to a house. The lounge is like a living room, filled with games, game systems, entertainment so people won't go stir-crazy. Another classroom that's on the second floor, across from the girls' bathroom is known as the Closet. It's where a lot of the female store their clothes or when they loot clothes from all the damage buildings and store it in there for someone who's unfortunate enough to not have any. The guys don't care that much about that so it was left for the females to handle. So at some point the classroom became a male and female closet to save space and make it easier to find all the clothes stuff in one place. Another classroom, was turn into a storage room filled with health and beauty products like shampoo, razors and whatnot. Everyone has their own and when they need a new one or don't have one they go there to get it. As for the library, it's being constantly update with new book and magazines so that everyone has something new to read and can find something enjoyable if they haven't already. The cafeteria is always in use and always stocked with all kinds of food, the gym is also in used for exorcise or games. The art and music rooms are also kept up to date for those who are interested in them and so are the computer rooms. Pretty much no room is left unused. Even the dance studios and the camera room down in the basement are in used. But sometimes when the dance rooms aren't being used they are use for private training like martial arts. Because the floor is padded to keep them from injuring themselves badly and the mirrors help them see if their body form is wrong. Either way, every part of the school is in use and if not there are future plans for them. Anyway, my stuff was in the middle, right next to the wall. I don't have much, just a thick sleeping bad and a duffle bag with some clothes and some necessities. I never bother to change into sleeping wear since you never know if the school will get attack and you need to be up and ready to evacuate everyone to the exits or the hideouts in the basement or if it's really bad than the tunnels in the subbasement. As I settle into sleep it didn't take me long but it also didn't take me much to snap awake quickly when the building shook. Everyone around me started jumping to their feet, especially when they heard the fire alarm screech in the air. Whenever someone heard it, it's either for a fire or there's trouble, an emergency. That's when everyone take it as their signal to get moving and take whatever they can and hide. After all, if something was to happen that require everyone to run like hell and never come back like their life depended on it, than it was important for them to always keep a bag of stuff by their bed just in case I quickly roll up my sleeping bag, strapped it onto my bag and slip it on my back. I head straight to one of the exits, following people as they climb down the stairs. We paused, trying to hold our balance as the building shook again and than kept going. Some of the stronger Mutants were in the front to make sure nothing attacked us and some were also behind us, keeping watch and making sure no one was left behind. We finally got to the basement and everyone made sure all the door were closed and locked. They would only open if one of the guards protecting the school give the password. Everyone huddle close and many made sure that the youngsters were closer to the subbasement so they would be the first to escape. I looked around, wanting to make sure my friends were around but I couldn't see them at all. I push through crowds and stood up on a crate and I didn't still see any of them. I started getting worry, wondering if they're stuck or ended up fighting against whoever attacked. I hate when it happens, it scares people and makes them worry when they don't know what's going on. "Over here!" A few turned to the voice but turn back when it wasn't who they thought it was. I looked over and smile in glee to see Java. I jumped down and ran to him, making sure to give him a big hug and study his appearance, noticing that he looked messy and scratched up. "What happen?" I asked, knowing that he has answer. "Well we got attack." he said, rolling his eyes. "Yeah yeah. But who, what and why?" "Mutant gang it seems. I don't know what they're capable of but they got some dangerous abilities. As for why they attack I don't know but it could be for two reasons. They want to take King's position and have us all be their minions or take our supplies." "Sounds plausible. So what happen to you?" "Got attack, duh." he answered, but quickly raised his arms in defense when I made the move to hit him. "Sorry. I mean I was attacked by one of them or the building was attacked by them. I don't know for sure but all I know was that the building shook and a wall exploded and I got knocked against the window. It broke and I fell out of it but I was lucky enough to remember I can teleport and here I am. Still in one piece and mostly unharm." "Thank goodness." I said, gratefully that friend wasn't hurt. "Have you seen anyone else?" "You haven't seen them? I thought they'll be here with you." he said, frowning. "Are you sure they're not hiding around here?" "I don't know. I was standing on a crate and you saw me before I could see you. John is the tallest among us and he would be the first to start bringing us together. I don't see him here at all and you know he always looking for us one by one to make sure we're all together." I said, trying to see over everyone heads to see if I can spot any of my friends. "This sucks. I hope they aren't still out there." Java said, pinching the bridge of his nose. "It's a mess." "We need to find them." I said, grabbing the sleeve of his shirt and pulling his arm away. "We've got to stick together. So don't bother trying to tell me to wait here for you to go get them. I know I'm not special like everyone here but that does not mean I'm incapable of trying to do something." He sighed but nodded. "Okay, but don't blame me if you get hurt. No, better yet, you better not get hurt though. If you do I'm never ever leaving you out of my sight." "Fine. Let's get moving." I said, holding onto his arm and stepping closer to him. "Hold on tight." Just as he said that my grip tighten and within a blink of an eye we appeared on the roof of the school. "Stay close to me." he whispered, grabbing my hand. We crouch down on the ground, and looked over the side of the school. We saw some of the damage done by the fight. The streets had a lot more smaller cracks in them, the buildings walls were crumbling and some of them were already knocked onto the ground. We both spotted a couple of the guards pushing back some gang members away from the school to prevent further damaging it. Java raised his finger to his mouth to tell me to be quiet, and he let go of my hand and ran to each side of the school to see if any of our friends had to escape the building. He ran back to me and shook his head, frowning. I bit my lip, worrying even more for them. He grabbed my hand again and looked me in the eye to let me know he was going to teleport again. I squeeze his hand in reply. We disappeared and reappeared in the school, in one of the bathrooms. "Where?" I asked quietly. "Third floor. Boy's bathroom." "Okay. It would be weird if you've been to the girl's bathroom." I mumbled, scrunching my nose from the strong urine smell. "No talking. We don't want to attract the wrong kind of attention." he whispered, pulling me closer to the door as he creaked it open enough to peek out into the hallway. I had to crouch down in order to see while he hover above me looking around. "I don't see anyone here." he said, pulling it open wider and sticking his head out. The building shook again, nearly knocking me onto my butt and Java banged his head against the doorway. I stood up, running to the window to see if I could figure out the source of the shaking. I heard screaming coming from inside the school, somewhere upstairs. "Maybe one of them got inside the school? Got on the roof or something." I said, running back to the door and grabbing Java. I was planning to pull him out the door to get to the fourth floor but Java pulled me back. "Hold on. We shouldn't rush upstairs not knowing what's going on. We'll take the stairs by the computer room and check out that side of the building first. If it's clear we'll keep going but remember the first sign of danger and I'm getting you out of there." he said, checking the hallway. "Just because you ca-" "Teleport, I know. It's not exactly the most super amazing power a Mutant can have but it's better than nothing like you. No offensive." "None taken. You have a point so I get it but that doesn't mean I have to like it." I said, glaring. "Let's get going. I want to fine them." We both got out into the hallway and he kept me behind him as he checked the next corner to make sure no one was there. The coast was clear and he motioned me closer and grabbed a hold of my hand. As we passed the computer room, he open the stairway's door and check it. We climbed up the stairs and appeared in the fourth floor hallway. We didn't see anything but we heard a lot of voices and yelling from the other side of the building. I continue to follow behind him and he kept a firm hold of my hand as we got closer to the source of the noises. We reach a corner and the voices were loud and clear, so was the destruction. Java and I look and notice that some of the guards of the school were fighting and trying to push some the Mutants down the stairs and hopefully out of the school. There were also some people knocked out, some are guards and others I don't recognize but assume are the enemy. "Nooo!" I snapped my head to the voice, instantly recognizing it as Amber's. I saw her run from an empty classroom to push away one of the guards from an on coming attack. I remember seeing the guard a couple of times talking to her. In my mind I quickly made the connection that he's the one she's been crushing on because she describe his appearance to me and the guy certainly match the description. I went to run towards them but I forgot that Java was still holding my hand and he held me in place. "Don't. I'll go." he said. "No. I'm going too. I'll get Amber and you can get us out." I said. Before we could take any action or decide on anything. There was a scream and multiple sounds of blasts. Another guard got knocked out and Amber wasn't alone. Another friend of mine, Sponge was beside her and she was trying to calm her down. Amber kept panicking and Sponge had to slap some sense into her while she hover over the guy's unconscious body, applying pressure to the wound on his side. "We have to get out of here." Sponge screamed, pushing Amber out of the way of an stray attack and absorbing it. "I'm not leaving him." Amber yelled back, clutching to his form against hers. "I know! We'll have to move him to somewhere less dangerous than the middle of the fights." Sponge stated, as she ripped a long piece of cloth from one leg of her Spongebob pajama pants. She used it to wrapped around the wound and to soak up the blood. I tried again to get pass Java to help them but he kept pulling me back. "No! You'll wait here." he hissed. "Don't make me lock you in the janitor's closet." "Java! They need both our help and we'll do it togeth-" I was cut off, when the building shook again, and a wall of a classroom crumble revealing a form. John, unexpectedly showing up use the chance to kick the gang member closest to him into a wall and knocked a few back. As one of the gang member charge up another attack, he ripped a door from the hinges in order to block the energy blasts. One of the blast ricochet off of a guard, Reflector, and headed towards John again. He couldn't dodge it quickly enough and it manage to scorch the top of his shoulders. Java gripped my arm tightly, unintentionally giving me a dark bruise. He loosen his grip hearing me hiss and pull at his hand. "Sorry." he said, and than he pulled us in the opposite direction. "And sorry again." "What are you doing? Where are we going?" I exclaimed, dragging my feet. "Java!" "I know you're going to find a way to get back up here if I took you back down. I feel better if I know for sure you're safe. Again, sorry." He spun around fast, tripping me and swinging onto his shoulder. It was only for a second that I was daze from the quick movement but I started pounding on his back. He pushed me into an supply closet and quickly shut the door, locking it before I could get up and run to it. "Sorry." I kicked at the door in anger but gave up after a few kicks. I'm not super strong like John is, in order to kick out doors or break the walls down. I sighed, my back against the door and I slide down it, sitting on the floor. I have no idea what to do or what Java is doing to help them. As much as I'm pissed at him for what he did, I hope that he doesn't get himself killed either. I rather he be alive so I can kick him in the nuts once it's all over. I look around the closet, noticing that it was filled with supplies and an old copy machine that definitely was rarely use or ever used at all. I was hoping to be stuck in the janitor's closet because maybe there would have been some tools or a tool box. I could have used a screw driver or something to take the door knob off and be able to escape. But there wasn't anything in the room that could be of use to me. I heard more screaming, the building shaking and the sound of the wall breaking again. It sounded a lot closer, like the fights moved into the hallway I was in now. I laid down on the floor, trying to see what's going on underneath the space of the door. I couldn't see that well but I could make out shapes running and dragging and people fighting and some chasing them and all sorts of random attacks. I tried to kick down the door again, hoping by some stroke of luck that it would magically fall down. Unexpectedly, the door and the wall smashed and the impact of whatever cause it had me fling onto the other end of the closet. I felt pain, my back sore and hurting like hell. I laid on the ground very sill, waiting for the pain to pass and until I could move without whining. There was a lot of dust and I couldn't see through it but I spotted John's leg in the rumble. I freaked, thinking that he lost his leg but I took calming breaths, realizing he was just buried in it and still alive from all the groaning noises he was making. I slowly moved, testing my back to see if it hurt and when it didn't I crawled closer to John, pushing the rocks off him. I manage to push off some and reveal his face and some of his upper body. I leaned over, gently slapping his check to get him to open his eyes. He groggy opened them, coughing out the dust he accidentally breathed in. "John. Hey, it's me. Come on, you need to snap out of it and get up." I said, pushing more rocks off him the best I could. "You're here?" "Yeah. Of course I'm here. I couldn't find ya so me and Java looked for you guys." I said, pausing a few seconds to stare him in the eyes to give him a small smile before continuing what I was doing. "You're here?" "Didn't I just answer that?" "You're here?" "Oh for goodness sake!" I huffed, giving him a glare. "Don't tell me you broke your brain. I thought it would take more than a wall to rattle your hard head." I debated on slapping his head but decided to pinch his cheek. He hissed, pulling his arm from the rumble in order to rub his sore cheek. "What happen?" he asked, blinking in confusion. "I don't know how you ended up under a pile of stuff but we got some fighting and saving to do." I said, standing up and looking over to the battles going on. "What are you doing here?" "Don't start that s**t again." I yelled, kicking him. "Sorry. I know you're here but WHY?" he asked, standing up with no trouble and shaking the dirt and dust off him. "No. No....no." I said, getting pissed. "Don't you dare tell me I shouldn't be here. You guys shouldn't be here either." I was about to say something but John, pulled me back inside the closet and a huge blast of energy turn the pile of rumble into dust. John was on the ground, hissing in pain and holding his head. I frowned, checking his head and finding a large gash on the side of his head. I told his to sit still while I looked around for a clean cloth or something to tied around his head. I couldn't find anything so I settle for John's shirt. He torn a large chuck of it for me and I only used the inside of his shirt that was untouched by dirt, to press against the gash. tied it around his head and he thanked me and I thanked him back for getting me out of the way just in time. Another explosion rocked the building and this time I tripped and hit my head on the floor. I didn't remember much just the feeling of pain, the sound of screams and being shaken but all those fading into nothing before I could fully understand what was going on. I felt detached from my body and I couldn't quite grasp why. Somehow I understood what was happening but at the same time I didn't. I was scared but also calm. My thoughts and emotions were constantly in battle, not knowing what to settle on and I eventually ignored it, focusing on something else. I tired to opened my eyes but even than I wasn't sure if they were opened or still closed. But I can see or maybe not see but sense blurry shapes. When I couldn't get a clear image of them I focused on listening and all I heard were distorted voices that sounded so far away. Some felt familiar to me and others didn't. I tried moving but my body didn't budge an inch but I felt light like I was floating. It was incredibly strange and so hard to comprehend. But somewhere in my mind, in my heart and in my soul I knew that I shouldn't try to put logic to it, to just accept it. And so I accepted it. I felt so warm, not cold. I didn't even noticed I was freezing until the warmth came. And it grew hotter and hotter, it turned into fire. I was burning but I felt no pain, no discomfort. I knew it was hot, literally burning but it wasn't harming me at all. My mind tried to wrapped around it but it didn't make sense I knew that much but I felt happy and in peace with the fire. It was doing something, waiting for something because I knew I couldn't stay in the warmth forever. It was protecting me, surrounding me like a cocoon. There was something I had to do, something that only I knew. I did the first thing that came to my mind and it was to use the fire. Not to control it but become one with it. The fire reacted with my thought and it infused with my skin, not burning but caressing it and slowing entering my body. It felt like I was absorbing but maybe I wasn't...maybe the fire was absorbing me instead. Whatever it is, I became the fire and I never felt so alive in my entire life. Life. Just that thought alone, bought so many memories each and every one of them flashing rapidly in my mind. Some of them were of my life but the others, they weren't. No wait. They were, they were my memories of my past lives...before I dead. It's impossible and yet it's true. I remember now. I existed so long ago and for living so long that I've nearly forgotten what I am, who I am. I'm not a human. I'm not a Mutant. Not an alien. No...I'm Phoenix. With all the rush of information it quickly stopped and it bought me back to earth, regaining my consciousness. I opened my eyes, finding John passed out besides me with his arm trying to shield from whatever was going on before I passed out. With new determination and power flowing through me, that I never notice was always there I got up and search for my friends. I see Java, trapped under a dead gang member and unconscious. My eyes caught onto Amber and Sponge's forms. Amber was hiding behind Sponge and she had the guy she likes close to her. Sponge looked exhausted, trying to absorbed all the attacks that were aimed at them and also trying to help the guards left standing. No had noticed me yet so I closed my eyes, remembering my power and than opened them again. I looked around, my eyes now seeing things in a different perspective. I quickly jumped into a fight, twisting to avoid a blast of icicles and they melt into water as they pass by me. I kicked the guy in the face and spin to the right, ducked and kicked his legs out from under him. A ball of fire grew in my hand and I tossed it up and it exploded, knocking everyone off their feet or at least those that were on their feet. Taking that moment of distractions I form individual cages made of fire on each and every bad guy, surrounding them completely. If they move or tried to break it, it would shrink, get hotter and thicker to prevent them from escaping it. I stood still and everyone looked at me because I'm literally on fire, and looking like something they've never see before. I than tell the bad guys that I can easily roast them and that I can let them live if the leave the school alone and in peaceful and to never come back. Or if they don't than they'll be hunted down and be dealt with. The one with the ice abilities was clever enough to make large icicles so that they would tear at the ground that wasn't protected by the fire. He went dropped to the third floor, making a slid out of ice and landing safely on the ground. He started attacking the ceiling, not caring if he hits his own gang members. He was almost going to impale Java with an icicle but I melted it in time and I roasted the guy, leaving nothing but ashes. I asked the gang member if they'll take me serious after that. They do and I go and look at each one in the eye to determine if they are lying or not. I wanted to be sure that letting them go would be the right thing because last thing I wanted was for them to come back wanting revenge and hurting a lot more people. Once they were taken care of, I faced another problem. My friends and everyone else. They couldn't believe that I was never human in the first place. They had a hard time trusting me and I explain to them what I am and why I didn't tell them. After all, I couldn't remember and I technically didn't lied to them. I had to explained to them that I was once originally a bird but just like the humans I evolve too. I adapted and started being reborn as a human or at least take on a human form, a shell. And that over time, people from long ago thought I my race was going extinct and eventually people thought of us as legends and made-up. I explained to them that evolving was natural and that it would happen for every race, every living thing at some point and that for some they adapted like me, like some of the dragon races and for others they dead out like dinosaurs. They understood me better but they still weren't too sure but keep track of me and watch me until I earn their trust again or at least for some people I had to earn their trust. My friends at first were weary of it but they warmed up to the idea and thought it was cool. Of course there were moments that they forget and still treated me like I wasn't and as annoying as it was I liked it. It showed me that they still see me as me. Eventually the guards and King wanted to train me and see how good I am and how dangerous I could be. I showed them that I was good when it came to fire attacks and very creative but I wasn't super powerful when it came to physical attacks. I was decent but not capable of jumping in the air and performing a high spinning kick at someone. Than the TMNT appeared. They were rejected Mutants and not nearly accepted in the society like the humanoid or normal looking Mutants so they escaped to New Jersey and to this school. They've heard it's safe and accepting of people like them and they settle in quite well. While the injured people were recovering, the school was being fixed up and rebuilt. With Donatello's help the school got upgraded with security cameras, traps and a lot of things that would make it easier on everyone. Washing machines and dryers were install, a generator was built and a lot of other things. Donatello was such a big help that he got a whole classroom for his personal use and he turned it into his office and inventing room. The other turtles found their places in helping to protect their new home. Raphael became good friends with John and he became one of the main guards that protroll the area around the school. Leonardo was almost like a second King, making sure everyone was doing their job and basically helping to lead people. He was very helpful and it help people relax and not worry so much to know that there is someone else that's watching over them. Especially when King can't be in two places at once and or is out of commission. Michelangelo has so much fun showing off to the younger kids and they nearly worship him and his pizza making skills. I also got to know them better. They are so fun to train with and to hang out with. I certainly learned a lot from them, and one of them even had a crush on me. I was surprised, very surprised. At first I thought it was Mikey because he was always pretty affectionate around me but instead it was Raphael. I wasn't expecting that and I still don't know what he sees in me that got him liking me like that. But I took it in stride and I'm pretty flatter that he likes me. Honesty, I don't get that many admirers and he's sweet under that tough badass guy act. Anyway, they trained with me, help protroll the area and protect the area from baddies. And than the world became darker over time. Apparently there was a alien virus that was clinging the aliens space ship. When the virus infects someone, it lives off their darkness and making them vicious, clouded in hate. At first we didn't know, we thought it was just the bad side of humanity showing more but it wasn't that. Not until we were attack by it. That is when I woke up from my dream.
Note:
Phoenix - a mythical bird of great beauty fabled to live 500 or 600 years in the Arabian wilderness, to burn itself on a funeral pyre, and to rise from its ashes in the freshness of youth and live through another cycle of years: often an emblem of immortality or of reborn idealism or hope.
Soul - the principle of life, feeling, thought, and action in humans, regarded as a distinct entity separate from the body, and commonly held to be separable in existence from the body; the spiritual part of humans as distinct from the physical part.
Basically in my dream, my soul is a Phoenix. That over time I changed and discarded my original bird body for a human form when I was reborn. After time, my soul got so use to being human that I adapted to having a human life spend of a 100 years. So it was only a matter of time that with so many past lives I forgot what I am but somewhere inside me I still knew. It was only till I nearly died from banging my head against the floor that I realize what I am and accepted what I've been suppressing subconsciously. It helped greatly that I also wanted to help out my friends and wishing that I could do something. It was another thing that kicked my memory, my soul into realization of what I've been ignoring.
