Some movies done 3D turn out well but the problem is that sometimes there's only one version of the movie and for some people it's difficult to find a theater nearby that plays 3D and isn't expensive or crowded. While some movies that are film in 2D are than converted to 3D, aren't really impressive to watch. People who don't know that the movie was converted feel disappointed when they go see it and notice how things don't "pop out" like they do if it was filmed in 3D. So they get annoyed that they wasted their money.
Besides the glasses freaking hurt your eyes and it's really annoying when you already wear glasses. They keep slipping off and it feels a bit uncomfortable having it over your own pair of glasses. And sure people can wear contacts but not everyone is able to for health reasons or whatever.
Plus I heard that they're...certain companies are making 3D TVs. As cool as it sounds to view things 3D it's a terrible idea because it's a health hazard. It's straining for someone's eyes to constantly watch 3D and I'm sure it would also be a problem for those that are constantly in the move. For example; I know some people who watch tv while cooking and having a pair of 3D glasses would get in the way. Heck, if they lose the glasses they would have a hard time enjoying their shows.
Meh, and I've also learned that the glasses are like 300 dollars. That's too much for just 3D glasses and imagine getting four for a family. That's a total of $1200. Not even that but I'm sure some will break or get lost at some point. Though I think they figure that might become a problem in the future so they're thinking about putting a screen on the tv...or was that over the tv? Either way, this screen they are thinking about would replace the 3D glasses, allowing people to watch movies without the help of the glasses. Of course, if the glasses are costly...that screen would probably be more.
3D is cool but I'm not that excited to watch EVERY freaken new movie in it. It's mostly special effects and a movie shouldn't rely on special effects to move the story along. Instead it should help tell the story...not be the point of the whole movie.
