-- Few days later----
"The Armadillo! She's coming this way!!" screamed Jarkle the nestman. The whole crew scrambled around looking for a weapon of some sort. Grave leaped out to where Zarla and Sark were preparing themselves.
"Hey! Here's some glass bottles and ropes! They will be handy!" bellowed Grave as he gave the others supplies.
"Ugh! I'm so nervous!" said Zarla.
"Why are you so? You fought many battles with guys older than us. You should be a natural!" said Sark.
"AHH! Here they come!!" yelled a crew member. A swarm of big rough men came on to the ship and started beating and screaming at the pirates of the ship. A tough bald man came charging to where Sark was standing. Sark quickly dodged and tied the man by his feet, as Zarla blinded him with her hands. Grave threw punches, kicks and stabs at the man, until the man became almost lifeless. Zarla was in charge of throwing their victims off the ship, but of course she a had a bit of a trouble of the man's size. A couple of bald guys were trying to stab Grave and Sark, but they tripped over them and into the ocean.
"There's so many of them!" yelled Zarla as she pushed another victim into the sea.
"I know right?" agreed Sark as he was pushed down.
Grave quickly helped Sark to his feet, "When will this end?" It seemed that Grave's plea was answered by a woman walking up to them.
"Don't worry kid, it all will right now," she grinned as she pulled out a long sharp sword, "It'll end with you kiddos dying!" she charged at them by striking her sword at Sark. One of swings cut a into Sark's skin.
"Ow! Oh you want it woman? I don't care if you're a guy or gal! As long as you're the enemy, I'll kill you!" Sark quickly pulled Zarla aside before she was cut in half.
Zarla gasped, "Who the heck are you!?"
"Me? Well I'm Maria the white cat! I'm here to destroy you!"
"What?! The white cat?! That only means that you are... the princess of Ivory!" gulped Grave.
"Huh? Ivory?" gasped Zarla and Sark.
Maria grinned, "Why yes, you kids are smarted than I thought!" Maria swung her blade toward Sark, almost beheading him. Suddenly a loud creak and three bangs erupted from the ship. The Armadillo was sinking! Maria gasped, "My beloved Armadillo!" she fell to her knees.
Jarkle yelled, "Everybody! We won!! We did it! We sank them varments into the ruins of the coral!"
"So, what are you kids going to do with me?" Maria asked with a depressed voice.
"Well for starters, you're going to work the ship!" yelled the Cap' Wade.
"Huh?" asked Zarla.
"We need more man power, so Maria you're going to help Zar here to maintain the ship and such!" Cap' Wade explained, "Good work kids! You really fought like experts! Hey Sark! You really fought like your pop!"
"Thanks captain!" replied Sark.
"Take Sark to the Doc'!" ordered the Cap' as he left to his room.
"Come on Sark!" Grave grabbed Sark and led him to the Doc's.
"Hey? I better show you around, Maria," said Zarla as she helped Maria to her feet.
"Don't try to pity me!"
"Hey! I'm just going by Captain's order! I don't ever try to pity anyone."
Maria sighed, "Sorry, I.. I'm just still angry about the Armadillo."
"It's fine, I would have acted that way as well," Zarla and Maria walked to the empty side of the boat.
"How old are you anyway?"
"I'm fifteen, how about you?"
"Wow, our ages are pretty close! I'm sixteen."
"You're about the age of a companion of mine."
"A companion?" asked Maria.
Zarla blushed, "More like boyfriend."
"Ooo.. He must be so lonely without you, right now."
"Well, he won't. He promised me that we'll always be together, even if we're on the other side of the Earth."
"You guys seem like a close couple."
"We are, I've known him since I was eight."
Maria smiled, "I was in love too, but of course I sailed away."
"I heard that you're the princess of Ivory. How's Ivory and how is your life?"
"Ivory is a beautiful and prosperous country. Being a princess? Well, I can do whatever I want, but there are limitations. I remember I wanted to play with Nathaniel, my guard and long time friend, in the snow, but my papa told me no."
"You're lucky."
"How so?"
"Well, I've always wanted my parents to care for me, but they never did. I kind of envy your life."
Maria smiled, "You shouldn't because in my life you can never love anyone and be with them.. Nathaniel was my friend and love, but I was betrothed to someone else. I guess since the Armadillo is gone, my limits have expanded."
"I guess you're right."
"How was your life before?"
"Well, I did whatever I desired, without limitations. My parents never cared for me."
"How come?"
"When I was young, I was told that I wasn't suppose to live. My mother never actually knew she was pregnant, so I died. However, some unknown reason, I came back to life, when she was pregnant with twins. I killed and fed on one of the twins..."
"Zarla!!! How can that be true?"
"But it is! It explains the whole reason for everything that happened to me!"
"Zarla.."
"I always wondered about why I didn't stay dead? But maybe it was for the best?"
"Zarla, actually there's a myth about how if a woman doesn't know that she's pregnant, the baby will die and it will come back to life and fed on the next babies she has."
"Huh?"
"The child is called a zombie.."
"So I'm a zombie??"
"Maybe, but the child is no different from any other, except they will have super natural powers."
"Hmm... I guess my power is?"
"Probably your power hasn't popped out yet.."
"Probably.."
