How does it feel?
When your world is slipping away?
When it seems that those you love,
Are keeping you at bay?
How does it feel,
Facing a world unknown,
One filled with countless,
Endless, unseen foes?
Does it hurt to know you face an endless tide,
One that has become difficult to hide?
Does it scare you to know,
That as your love grows,
So does the loathing of those foes?
And as they fester and hiss within the black abyss...
Do you realize now,
What you didn't catch?
What you missed?
I'll tell you now,
That as they crowed around,
Moving without a sound,
Below the ground,
Beyond detection,
That though you believe you're headed in the right direction,
The trip is a long long journey,
One that will take years to end,
But it'll all be worth while,
When the ones you love look on and smile,
And all is well,
If only for a little while...
