So far, my day today was just fine. I mean, I really enjoyed my college classes today, since I got to draw in one...eheheh...and in my other two classes, I got my exam and mid-term back, with one being 100% correct. Meaning A. And the other was like...88%, so a B. ((Not bad. Eh?)) biggrin
Then I come home from school, thinking to myself, 'I really need to pee...' And Lo and Behold! My poor Persian kitty is in so much pain, she can barely move. So we take her (my mom, sis, and I) to her vet...and he tells us that her eye ruptured. I mean! Holy F***! ((That's what I actually said to the vet...oops)) He gave us these options. One, go now to an Emergency room and pay thousands of dollars. Two, he could remove the eye. Or three, he could prescribe some antibiotics and pain medication for now, and tomorrow, we could go to another vet, who specializes in eyes and pay minimal money for surgery during the day. We picked option three.
My poor baby...I cried like a little kid. surprised And no....we have no idea what might've caused her eye rupture...but I'm betting on the fact, that she ran into my screen door twice, and that's what caused her eye problem. But I'm not sure. But I sure hope she's gonna be fine. surprised And yes...I got to pee finally...after so long. xd
Edit~ Finally
So after we went to the vet who specializes in eyes, he then told us that her eye is somehow getting better, ((the fluid wasn't leaking as much as the last time...thank god)) But he did find out, that she, the cat, had this virus, a Herpes Virus, he found this out because she sneezed a lot and she had problem with her both eyes. But, he basically told us that every cat has it, but some show signs, and some don't. At all. ((And no....it's not the same Herpes Virus as the one that people have/get)) Well, after he told us that, he said that she might need surgery, but we had options, of course...I wanted to get the surgery for her to save the eye ((thank god I didn't)) but my mom said, to wait, and see how the treatment for the virus would affect her. Well, it's been...what...almost two weeks since the daily treatment for the virus. ((the medicine is this gel that we have to give her and eye drops to counter the rupture)) and she has been just fine~! biggrin I mean! I'm so happy! She has, almost, stopped sneezing, and her eye isn't leaking eye ball fluid anymore. So I'm REALLY glad that it seems she won't need the surgery, but it's still lurking behind the corner...dang it. WeLl, that's the update. biggrin Oh! And my kitty is 7 and a half pounds...I'm so proud. e 3 e
