Last night it was our "prom". I hate calling it that, but...ball sounds almost as silly and everyone will laugh and point if I call it "the ball" so I'll call it prom instead.
uhhhhhhhhhhh I went shopping so many times to try and sort an outfit out, I don't think I've done an entry about how I got stuck in a dress. Well, that happened. Shame. I would have bought it otherwise, it was nice.
In the end I just wore an old dress I already had. My dad drove me and emily down to the classy establishment where the prom was held: The Village That's right.
Oh there were people turning up in limos and vintage cars, there were big princess dresses and tiny tight dresses and everything in between. I took some awkward photos, and had some awkward photos of myself taken. And there were several people employed to film the palaver D: I did not like being filmed.
Then we started meandering towards where the rest of the evening was to be spent. I didn't like where I was sat because I was facing the wall. I would rather be able to see what was going on. The food was a bit of let down. The salad was small and limp and the desserts were inconsistent. The main was alright, gnocchi is always a bit of the gluey side in my experience. I think I just need to dine in better restaurants....
After the food finished I did awkward standing and sitting in various places, got a "professional photograph" of me and my five friends XD aaaaand yeah that's pretty much all I did.
I approached the square of laminate dance floor several times and shuffled about a bit. On a few occasions I really let rip and moved my arms slightly and bobbed up and down. A drunk mr. bamford shouted...some thing....at me...and I didn't know what was going on so I looked in the other direction and that solved the problem cool Charlotte said she saw bamford doing a silly dance, and then accidentally shoved he hand up someone's dress XD That's potentially a career shattering incident, that is. Another funny thing that happened was that the dee-jayy called jack haire "rick". Ohohoho. It was funny....
And at the end, the prom king and queen were announced. I voted.......ashley truman and alex crawford ._. The King was someone who I know only by face. The Queen was Dulcie Dixon, which isn't that surprising.
Then we went home. I wasn't sure if I should walk back, I fancied going for a walk but I wasn't sure what my parents would think. In the end we walked halfway and met my mum in the car and drove the rest of the way.
Other news: Michael Jackson has died! He was only 50. It was of a heart attack a couple of days ago. There were several doctors and other medical people already there, so they think he was having some more private cosmetic surgery done. Silly man. There are lots of tributes going around now. Several of his hits were played at the prom...
I'm going on holiday tomorrow n.n A week in lanzarote. It will be nice and warm.
Aaand I got a clock necklace :D It like the ones that those rappers had but smaller.
