For my first rant, i think i'll rant about Role Play Forums. I've joined many (and left most of them) because they seem interesting and I feel as if I can create a stable character to join in. One with personality and charisma, not just a depressing childhood and hyperactivity to hide the pain. Not one that "will do anything for his/her friends. doesn't show all feelings/hides pain/ shy but will open up to friends. yadda yadda". Maybe my standards are too high, but most of these characters are static and overused. Surprisingly enough, whenever someone does have an acceptable character, the forum dies! Ask yourselves, "why?". Is it because those in the forum are jealous or feel outshined? Did the other character steal their thunder? Who knows? I myself have created a forum, and it seems to be dying. Yet most of the characters are very well created and strong. They seemed to have vanished! Moving on. I believe that if someone creates a forum, that they should hold responsibility for it and every now and then ask their fellow post pals how they are, if they like where the RP is going, and whether they think it should continue or not. AND ANOTHER THING. Its rude to leave out people! I joined a forum some time ago about the secretly terrible life of rich people (don't ask me...it seemed interesting at the time) and when i tried connecting to the other characters, i was deliberately ignored! The characters texted each other to talk. so i tried it, nobody was talking to me. One girl tried including me, but the boy i was "texting" (it sounds so stupid to text on a forum) deleted the "text" i sent him, just to be rude! Goodness gracious! what happened to internet manners?! i should have reported him...oh well.
