Yay! I can't wait for Saturday! A craft fair AND a dance. My dream come true. Well, almost. But hey, no one has everything. I just wish I did lol. There was a quiz bowl meeting today, and 3 out of the 5 Jv members from my school last year showed up. One's still out of state, and the other, well, she won't be showing up, I think. I was on top of it today, and I even got one boy to laugh several times b/c I was being a clown. Fun fun fun... I'm writing a story, and so I figured I'd post parts of it. Tell me what could be better please.
Chapter 1: The Quest
Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, there was a land called Nelia. It was ruled by King Ryan and Queen Greenlee, and they had two beautiful children, Prince Leo and Princess Babe. The people loved the king and queen, but they did not like the idea of Prince Leo or Princess Babe ruling them in the future. Leo was always picking fights with boys older and stronger than him, but when he was even slightly hurt, Leo ran straight to his parents in tears. Babe, on the other hand, was sweet, but the people didn't know this because the king and queen rarely let her go anywhere without them and many of the palace guards. The peasants cave her the nickname "Baby Doll" because she seemed as lifeless as a doll in their eyes. One day, the commoners decided they would have to find a way to test the future rulers in some way, so they devised a quest filled with difficult tasks to prove the worth of the next ruler. The Elder of the people, a woman named Mila, brought their plan to Ryan and Greenlee, who agreed to let their children attempt the quest. When they told Leo and Babe of the quest, Leo insisted that he go first so he could prove that he was smarter and stronger than the commoners. Babe only wanted to know what was required. "First," Greenlee said, "you must walk backwards to the neighboring kingdom, Belorum. Then, you must gain control over it without fighting any battles, without using any weapons at all. Next, you must build a palace in three days with at least 20 rooms. Finally, you must find someone to marry you, but it must be true love, not marriage for money." Leo immediately lept to his feet. "This is too simple! I'll leave now and prove to those silly peasants that I am the next king!" Ryan and Greenlee glanced at each other, not sure what to do, but before they could even open their mouths, Leo was out of the room. Babe half-smiled at her parents before following her brother. Slowly, the king and queen rose to follow their children, hoping they had made the right choice...
More to come, whenever I get on next!
