Misplaced Corruption
Nickolas Jareth Reimer Ageless Book 1 1/2
Nine years have passed since the Death of Kalec. Levikarth, Nia's companion, lays at home with Nia and Kayle. He has taken up the role of a Paladin, being the first Ravager to align himself with anything good. He is exiled from Ravagerhood, beeing called a trator and a 'non-believer' by the wily, grotesque other ravagers. No, Levith is different. Levith cares about all this not, for he is happy being the guardian of his best friend and her son.
"Levith! look!" Kayle ran up to me, holding up a shottily made bow and arrow. "I made it myself! and it shoots, too!" The young Vannim pulled back the bow, firing at a bottle. The arrow went about five feet and fell flat. I hide a chuckle, standing and walking inside our oh-so-lovely home. "Levith! Wait!" Kayle followed me inside, having to powerwalk to keep up with my long stride. We walked to the room that me and Nia built im memory of Kalec. I stalked around the small room, lighting the many candles. Kayle waited for me to finish before talking. "Why do we have this room? Every day you come inside and polish that armor and that sword. It seems kinda dumb." I stand there, breathing shallowly. I take two strides in the direction of Kayle, turning, and looking at the sword and armor. They both were dull and blan from age, yet shone with divine brilliance. The armor, which I myself walked back into the Underworld to get, still had the great warrior's blood, as well as the demon's blood on it. "Thy father was a great Warrior, Kayle. I knew from the moment i saw him." I spoke to the boy, knowing in the back of my mind that he wasnt listening. "Yeah... I know." The boy kicked at some dirt, cleary bored from the story. "Come, Kayle. Thy mother has food ready for us." The two of us left the room, my mind racing about the great warrior, he probobly thinking about the many Vannim girls at his acadamy. I let out a deep sigh, sitting on the raised, stone chair Nia placed in the dining room especially for me. The Vannim chairs were small and thin, unable to contain my dence figure, not to mention my imence legs and hooves. Nia flowed into the room, as agile and beutiful as ever. Her long, silver hair bunched up into a large ponytail, which she forced me to wrap in waxed cloth every morning, caushing her hair to have 'A certain charm' she always told me. I watched as Nia placed the three platers of food on the table, For herself she fixed a small amount of salmon and fresh greens from the garden that I weeded and cared for each and every day, for the boy, trout and a glass of his favorite drink, Valley Stream... And for me, A massive catfish, rarely cooked and seasoned thuroughly. I used the suplied utencils to cut my fish carefully, biting it, and chewing it carefully. It was savory, the taste of blood still in it, but not with the raw bite that comes with death. Eating always made me realise how much different i actually was. Nia and Kayle alone could eat days with the amount of food I consume on a daily basis. We sat at the table, not saying a word. My fish was consumed long ago, but i always waited for Nia and Kayle to finish before i left. I always get this weird feeling when i get done eating, like i wasnt full, yet i know that i am. But, that comes with being..... being what i am... Nia spoke, her voice waking me from my innermost thoughts. "Levith?" I looked up at her, who had finished eating. Kayle still sat there, ravenously butchering his food, swallowing it before it even hit a tooth. "Yes, M'Lady?" I replied as i stood, taking my plate and walking over to hers. "I know that i ask alot of you as is, but theres something we, as a family, need to talk about." Kayle rolled his eyes, throwing himself out of his chair and roling out of the room. Whenever Nia spoke to me in this manner, he always fled. He was a boy, i cant blame him. "Tis not a problem, M'lady, what does thee need?" She smiled, a warm sight to behold. "Xantom sent me a letter yesterday. Here." she handed me the letter, fully expecting me to read it. I flipped open the red onvelope, reading the parchment inside. Dear Drakemourn Family.
I wish to invite you to a houswarming party that i am throwing, the 7th of solarclyspe. i know it is of short notice and i know that you are probobly buisy, but i would like to invite Nia and her child to the homecoming. I would love to see you there, but i know that you may not be able to come. The directions are on the back.
With honor, Xantutherijn Valedreadgaon.
I closed the envolope, handing it back my mistress. "It seems like he would like to invite you and the young master to a homecoming party." She looked at me, smiling sadly. "I wish you to acompony me, Levith. I would not like to go without you." Nia wore the same sad yet happy smile as when Kayle was born. Turning away from her, i open my hand and look at it. I was so much different, yet she treated me as if i were Vannim such as her. "I will. " I said, turning back to her. She was standing up now, about a foot shorter that I. "I know that you and Xantom dont get along, but I think that once he gets past your..." I interupted her. "My monstrosity?" She tilted her head with a sad smile. "Your not a monster, Levith." I slammed my hand on the table, hunching down to her level and baring my teeth. "LOOK AT ME!" She closed her eyes and looked away, cleary shaken by my sudden outburst. I left Nia, Walking swiftly to the falls in the back of our desolate home.I kept thinking, wondering why i was born a Ravager, and looking at the ground as i walked. i know that i cant help what i am, but it still bothers me that Nia tries to hide it. She is Really the only one who sees me for WHO i am, not WHAT i am. Even Kayle insults me when hes with his friends. The only one of his friends who has ever not instantly laughed at me was Greg, and he has only been here once. I sit on the low rocks, my hooves in the water, washing away the grime from the day. the falls werent high by any standards, but they were soothing. Fish swam up and down the river, in a mindless haze. "Why did you go and do that, you fool.." I said to myself, being startled by the sudden speach. Midday fell, its hot weight laying upon me like a thougand bricks. I lay, now almost completely submuged, in the water. My head still protruding the water, ducking down once in a while and letting the cool water pass over me. "Lev, Are you out here?" The voice was quiet and kind. Nia. I raised from the water, my open chest still draining. "Yes i am..." I said, raising my hand. She walked over to me, carefull on the rocks. She wasnt here to acompany me, i told myself. she wouldnt of came in a bath robe and underwear, i further toldmyeslf. "You dont mind if I bather here with you, Do you?" I was startled by her request, but not shy about it. "If you wish." I turned, sitting down. The water splashed heavily benieth me, the ground shaking. From behind mei heard the pulstring of her robe, it droping, and the sleek sound of the removal of her under clothes. I felt her sit behind me, our backs touching, mine holding her up. "You scared me back there, Levith. I havent seen you that furious since you fought that demon nine years ago." she spoke of Andramorgamelch's Lackey, Garua. I made no sound, ashamed of how i treated her. We sat there, the only sound was that of the runing water agaisnt our bodies. "Nia.... Im sorry. I shouldnt of treated you like that...." I again raised my hand, looking at my 3 thick claws. Nia moved behind me, turniny towards me, placing her arms around my neck and pulling me back. i fel back, my head resting on her lap and breasts. she looked down at me, smiling and kissing me in the forehead. "Your no monster, Levith." Her words entered my mind, soothing my aching head. i turn my head sideways, not wanting to disturb her. She shifted to my side, laying her head on her arms, on my chest, calming down in the stream. Nia lay on me, her warmth entereing my body, soothing me. "Nia..?" I spoke, fearing the worse. She didnt reply. I let my tired head fall in the water, the water passing over my head swiftly. why does she always do this... if i get angry she always finds me and falls asleep, i said to myself in my mind. I turn my body towards hers, she still asleep. Gently i pick her up, resting her in my arms. "If i start walking now, i can make it back to home before dark" I said to myself outloud, dark almost on us. I walk towards the house. looking down at Nia sleeping in my arms, completely naked. She really is beutiful, i tell myself, looking at her as i walk. I arive with Nia in my arms at our house right before dark. Kayle had already went to bed, leaving his filth at the table. I take no mind to it, i usually pick up the house before i go to bed, its no big deal. I make my way to Nia and my room. We sleep in the same room becuas I am soposed to be maried to Nia, otherwise they would kill me becaus im.... Different. I gently place Nia on her bed, pulling the soft white sheets up over her naked body. i stand there over Nia, for some reason feeling guilty and sad. I turn away from her, my heart throbing. Nia loves Kalec. I know this. We can never be. I walk back into the dining room, picking up Kayle's plate, and setting it in the sink with mine and Nia's. I turn the faucet, warm water rushing into the steel basin. As i beguin to wash the plates, i think about Kalec, and our shrine. I will never be that great, i tell myself. I once again look at my monstrous claws, cursing my herrritage. My father led the attack agaisnt Aaru Muur And for that i curse him. Innocent lives were lost in that attack, children, women. My father was horrible. I place the dishes in the cubbard, walking to Kalec's Shrine, sitting in the back, just looking at the armor and sword. Kalec was so.... Great. "Heh... No wonder she loves him..." I said to myself. Wiping a large tear from the side of my eye. The armor and sword did not reply to my words, as expected. I step out of the room and look up at the black void of white stars. "What will this one do....." I said to myself, walking to were i was siting this morning watching Kayle play with his bow. The shotty bow lay there, the arrow still notched in the string. "Sometimes i wish i were you, Kalec." I though, still thinking about Nia. "she dosnt even know that i wast the one who saved her so long ago, she was the one who saved me." I sat in on the ledge of the porch, my hands in my head. "Levith?" I raised my haid a bit, but didnt look back. Nia stood right behind me, i knew it. she made no other noise, only sitting beside me in her black bathrobe that i hung up for her before i went to clean. I looked at her legs, not wanting to look her in the face, knowing that she probobly heard me. She took my head in her small hands, turning my head to look at her in the face. She had just got up in the middle of the night, i tell myself. She dosnt know. Her loose hair, not put up, flowed freely on her face. I slowly raise one of my large claws, caresing her cheeks and getting the hair out of her face. With my hand still raised, she lays against me, hugging me tightly. I sit there, my hand raised, Nia hugging me. I wanted to hug her back. i thought about hugging her back extremely hard. "Nia..." is all i can say, Pushing her off, and looking into her gorgeous blue eyes. I Wont betray Kalec... I stand, leaving Nia once more, walking to my room. Why did you do that? I tell myself in my mind. She was showing love to you and you just push her away. I get to ther room, and sit with by back against the corner. Me and Nia have already proved that i COULD sleep on the bed, but i never will. I dont deserve to. "Levith, please." The voice was Nia again, who had followed me to this room. "Nia.... Im only going to hurt you... Please... Just go to bed...." I say turning so that my head rest on the wall, hiding my tears. "Tommorrow we leave for Aaru Muur." She said, walking to her bed. I watched as she took of the gown laying down and slopily pulled the covers up. she sat there, not moving or speaking, obviously upset at my actions. Guilty weighed agasint me like the heat of day, crushing me. I slowly and quietly walk over to Nia, carefully tucking her in, not wanting to wake her. "goodnight" I whisper in her ear, before i walk to my corner and lie so i could get some sleep.
That night, i dream of how i go here. How i met Kalec and Nia. "GET UP, MONSTER!" I sat, chained to he wall, white arcanium walls on all sides. The only paritions were kept closed at all times, and i was never interacted with live Vannim. "Please.... Ive done nothing wrong... Let me go..." I said to to voice beyond the speakers. "Dont lie you Ravager Scum!" At the end of his voice, a large steel ball sped towards me, hiting me in the head, and dazing me. "Just kill the monster already!... What do you mean? Take her outside! Do it now! dont ask questions!" Beyond my daze, i see the partitions open. I am no monster.... "GREAAAAHHHHHHKKKK!!!" I scream, Tearing the bonds from the wall, and ripping them off my arms. Nothing will imprison me. Nothing. I walk to the closing partitions, combat roling inbetween them. "Pike men! 660-7 has escaped! stop him!" a scientis said, pointing in my way. Withing seconds, Guards armmed with electrified pikes apeared from seemingly every corner. "Voran says kill him! LAY HIM DOWN, BOYS!" The scientist yelled, runing like a coward. I open my hand, readying myself. "LEAA!" One of the guards charged me, trying to stab me with the pike. I let the pike render my hand, pasing thrue it painfully. The guards stands stunned, looking at my arm, pike completely threu it, me holding on to him. i grab him with my right hand, hackhanding him with the pike-skewed hand. The shaft snapped, the guard now bleeding profusely and hanging off the wall. I rip the shaft from my flesh, walking to the other guards. There were six remaining, and three ran before i got even near them. I grin whikedly, grabing the pike of another asaliant, throwing it at a guard who THOUGHT he was flanking me. it protruded his neck, again, pining him to the wall. I pick up the guard who's pike i threw and lift him high, smilling still. he screams, wich sends a lovely sensation thrue my spine as i stab the broken shaft into his heart. The last guard drops his pike and sits on his knees, before begging me to spare him. His head touching the ground, i smile. I take one step foreward, raising my right foot and letting it drop opun his head heavily, smashing his skill, like a steping on a watermellon. I think about what i just did, looking back at the bloody mess.... I dont want all this... i say to myself.... Im different.... i saym before running towards the exit sighn. The halls lead me on and on, further and further up. I at long last get to a great hallway, with the exit and trees outside. I walk to the exit, tired, so i slow down. the white hall finaly turns to grass, and i smell blood. i look up, to see a young woman, maybe 20, tied to a tree with open wounds. i walk up to her, looking her over. She is just like me.... i say to myself, captured and confused. The girl spoke, her head down. "Please.... Kill me quickly..... I dont want to hurt..... Anymore...." The girl's voice was sad and soft, barely audiable. I cut the ropes with my claw, severing them with tremendous force. She falls foreward onto me. "Did they kidnapp thee as well?" I said in the most soothing, un-hostile voice i could manage. "Yes.... I... Dont know... What happened..." She closed her eyes, clearly close to death. "Easy now.... Stay with me, little one." I say to her, picking her up, and walking towards the woods.
I slowly open my eys, Nia had already woken up, wich dosnt happen often. I stand, strecting, and scratching the cieling. i look up at the many, many, many scratch marks. Ya think that i would learn by now that i cant do that.... I yawn forociously, my long, white fangletts shining. i lick my teeth, smelling Nia's cooking. The bed hadnt been made yet, Of course. I walk over to it, and notice a small note. It was writen neatly in red ink, Nia's infamous for doing that...
Your food in in the kitchen. Eat, and then meet me at Xantom's house.
Yawning again, i fix the bed and go into the kitchen. Nia had boiled me some eggs, season with mint and salted lightly, just the way i like them. I grabed the lot up, cleaning the plate as i ate, and puting it back in the cubbard. Xantom dosnt live far, but Nia and Kayle took our only Lesserdrake. "Uhnn..." I say, outloud, walking out the door and heading to Xantom's house. I had the insight of wearing my Armored tassets and my Dragonbone shoulderguard, just in case that Nia's paladin friend didnt want me there. The walk was long and boring, nothing happening on the walk there, aside from stoping every now and then to pick a wildflower for Rose. I at long last, arived at Valedreadgaon Manor. The black stone castle towered high, clearly expensive. I walk to the large steel door, tapping 3 times, and waiting for an answer. I stood there picking the polen from the flowers, until Rose opened the door. She gave me a warm smile and greeted me, clearly glad that i came. "Do come in Levith! We have been expecting you!" Expecting me? Xantom didnt invite me.. "Of course, Madam." I handed her the flowers, She blushed and took them, smelling them deeply. "Right this way!" she said, before skipping off into the home. i entered, pulling the door closed behind me. The house was extremely large, but our homes landscape Far surpased this ones. It just layed on a large cliff, Large rocky cliff, Clearly a Vannim male thing... i walked into the large party room, and as i did, everthing stoped a friend of Rose's screamed, ducking underneath the table. I heard my flesh tear as she screamed, it cutting my heart and soul deeply. Kayle walked over to the girl and explaned who i was, or at least thats what i thought he did. "Levith." I heard a voice from behind me. It was masculine and powrfull. Xantom. The part of my mind that was usually right told me not to speak. But.. I defied it. "Greetings, old friend." I streached my hand out to, waiting for him to take it. He stood there for a moment, before gripping my hand tightly with his Crimson Gauntlet. "Aye, it is. And how have you and Nia been holding up? Havent been touchin Nia have 'ya?" Xantom nudged me with his elbow, laughing strangely. He was clearly drunk. Nia rolled her eyes and went downstairs, telling Kayle to go play with the other children outside. I waited a moment before following her quietly. I could tell she new i was behind her, but she made no note of it. She stoped at the bar, sitting on one of he confertable stools. I wondered, at that point, what kind of problems Rose had with Xantom. Xantom has been discribed as a 'fun drunk'. I, Personaly, have never drank that much. And on that case, i guess ive never really had any profane drink... I walk up next to Nia, Leaning on the stone walls. Rose laughed, messing with the drinks and condemints, and tol me to have a seat. I sat on the stool, my legs bent back. While it wasnt confertable, it WAS better than standing. "Sorry you guys, all i have is Black Dragon and Mirigoss Ale." Rose told us, expecting a sigh of grievance. i looked at Nia, who fiddled with the key to our house. the key itself i had made, as well as the lock and tumbler. I havent been to my blacksmith in a while, i may have to go out to it tonight when we get back home. "So, what would you like?" Rose asked us, sounding extremely fashoned to this buisness. "Id like a Black Dragon." Nia handed Rose 15 gold coins for the drink. Rose opened a bottle of white liquid, pouring it into a glass. The liquid was funny, becaus thrue the glass it was clear, you couldnt even see it, but looking down on it it was dark and murky. Nia took the shot and downed it quickly, leting her hand with the shot glass hit a bit harder than expected. "Another." "Yeah, Me too." Rose laughed, pouring two more shots of the strange liquid. "This your first time driking this stuff, Levith?" Rose asked with a sly smile. "Uhh.. this is the first alchaholic drink ive ever had." She chucked, handing me the drink. I looked down on it, it smelling like sand and 6 day old dead fish. The better part of my head said not to drink it, but today i was unusually rebelous. I swiftly doused the drink down my neck, swallowing it quickly, before falling back off the stool. Nia and Rose laughed uncontrolobly when i fell, for some reason. I got back up and put my hand in my head. "Damn... I feel like i got hit by a Lesserdrake..." Rose laughed, pouring Nia anothr drink. "Your gunna let Nia outdrink you?" Rose laughed more taking my glass and filling it. "Unnn..." I take another shot of the foul liquid, this time expecting its kick. Nia glares at me, holding out her glass. "Another." We tell Rose, this now a compitition. The night wore on, and with the passing of night, came the dropping of bottles. Nia, Rose and I sat there for an houre hour driking, finaly deciding to go do something outside by the bonfire that Xantom had lit. The guest were outiside, laughing, runing, just having a good time. I stumbled and caught myself, walking over to the stone bench. Me and Nia sat together, watching Kayle play with a stick he had lit on fire. "Ja know...l Ihh reahhly like dat kidd....." I talked slow and slurred, under the influance of the drinks before. "Haha... Yahh.... He's.... A gud boy...." Nia lay against me, tired and slowed from the drinks. "Lev.. Hajoo ever thought of havin kidz?" This qustion hit me, and i thought about it for a long time. "It wouldnnt mayyer if i did... None of teh over ramagenrz would lik me cuz i believe in justaste...." I stood, stumbling. "We zhould go homez, Mia." I talked to Nia, picking her up. she wrapped her arms around my neck, hugging me tightly. I walked out to the front, finding Kayle out there talking to a young girl. "Comon Zayle... Werm goin homez....." I got in the kart and waited for Kayle. He hugged the girl then got in the carriadge driving us home. The wagon was bumpy, but it beat the hell out of walking. I looked at Nia, now asleep in my lap. She was soo pretty. We at long last we made it back to our brick gates, Kayle opening the door and driving the kart in. He walks over to me and yanks my arm. "Cmon, Levith. Lets go inside." He tuged at my arm for a long time before i stand up, holding Nia tightly in my arms. I stepped off of the wagon, nearly falling. "Kayle.... Never Let me get this drunk agian..." i hold my head in my hand with one hand, lifting Nia Gently onto my shoulder. She hugged me softly, the way i held her caused her head to be over my shoulder, and i could feel her warm lips against my neck. "Levith.... take meh to my bed... im to tired......" Nia spoke slowly and slurried... I rolled my eyes, thinking to myself why this is fun. I made my way thrue the empty house, not one of its candles lit, causing the moon to shed light in an eerie way. i found.. great difficulty getting into the bedroom, i tripped twice and hit my head when i streached... but finaly i st Nia down in her king sized bed. "Levith..?" Nia looked at me with the eyes of a scared little girl. "Im really cold....and i think you can keep me warm, at least until i fall asleep?" She wanted me to sleep in her bed with her. i gazed at her, her eyes still chilling me to the core. Should i do it, i told myself, wanting to do it, yet at the same time cursing myself for these actions. " I cant.... I", Nia interupted my speach with anxiety. "Please?? Its cold.." Damnit.... "Alright...." i spoke softly, beating myself up for being so trecherous. "Thankyou, Levith!" Nia scooted over, her clingy silk nightgown trailing behind her. I slowly set myself down on the bed, crossing my hooves to take up less space. she slowly pulled the large, blue-conferter quilt over the both of us. i always found conferters strange.... they look like a MASSIVE pillow thats been flatten out with a fish-roller.... This thought left my mind as i looked over at Nia, the candle light of the overhanging chandeleir casting an cool glow over her, making her soft-blue eyes seem to be the very fabric of emotion, the very heart of kindness. We sat there for no more than 30 minutes before she spoke. "Levith.... Do you love me?" I jerked, not becaus she startled me, more of i wasnt expecting her to ask something like that. "What?" i asked dumbly, not knowing how i should answer her. "Do you love me?" she repeated, blinking her eyes slowly. I could barely see in the dark room, having extinquished all but one candle, but it seemed to me that Nia's eyes were unusually damp, like she was about to burst into tears. What was i sopposed to do? tell her i loved her, the next day tell her son that her mom has a Demon for a crush? Nia spoke again, this time much, much softer. "Kalec would of wanted me to move on..." She turned away, a slight sniffle was audiable. With the death of these words, the room fell silent, vex for the cackling of the furnace in the next room. Kalec would of wanted her to move on... does she mean that... she wants me to tell her? "Nia?" I spoke a bit louder this time, being sure to get her attention. she turned back to me, her cheeks visably wet from a few tears. I raised one claw to her head, turning my palm away from her face and wipping the wetness away. "Even if i did love you.... You deserve better than me..." I faked a smile, hiding the truth behind my words. Her reaction was both simple, and subtle. She raised both of her hands to my head, pulling herself over to me, and kissed softly. Her lips felt warm, and soft, and wet and wonderfull against mine. She held my head in place for a good minute, so close to me that i could feel her breasts against my chest. She loosened her grip on my head, sliding one hand down my neck to my shoulder. "Levith...." The dim light of the candle still cursed the room in darkness, but i could see her blush coyly. "I love you," she said, hugging me tightly. I again raised my hand, this time to not her face, but to the small of her back. i gently let my claw fall into place, fitting her figure snuggly. "I love you too, Nia." I spoke as we sat up, leaning against the stone backboard of her bed. "Oh, is that so?" She smiled before leaning into me, laying her sweet lips again mine again. my hand found its way to her neck, pushing her back just a bit. "This is wrong.." i told her, her eyes open loosely. she smirked inently, caressing my head with her small, tinder hands. she spoke in a low voice... almost a moan. "What is right?" She straddled me, kneeling over my chest.
* * *
Slowly i open my eyes, closing them instantly becaus of the blinding light of sol, lowing low and eminating piercing light into the room. I turned, every thing last night a foggy blurr. I slowly nudge myself to the edge of the bed, looking back to see if Nia was still there. She wasnt, of course, she probobly already got up to send Kayle to school. I swept the quilt off of me, standing and walking to my Armoire. I dont wear much clothes, save for my underclothes and my Overkirst. i opened the dresser, retreaving my black and red overkirst and stapped it on around my waist, pulling the belt latch tigtly. I continue to look thrue the armoire, and i noticed a small note. i reach into the dresser, taking it out and looking it over.
Lecherous arent we?
I dont let the note bother me, probobly some peeping tom here to see Nia undress like she comonly does when she changes. I throw the note on the ground, stomping it once. I stide past the door, thrue the dinning hall and into the Kitchen. I open the coldbox, seeing that we were completely out of fish. i let out a deep and drawn out sigh, walking into the shed and retrieving my pole and bait. I dont HATE, fishing i just think that i could do better things in the time it took me to catch one fish.. I sit on the large, stone overlap of the bridge. takeing out a small treble hook, I impale a small nightcrawler. I DO however, hate the black bile that gets on your hands when you fishing. Twitching my arm, i fling the small bait into my oh-so-famous fishing whole. the actual river was.. maybe 4 feet deep, but even when Nia attempted to reach the bottom of the whole, she ran out of breath, even with a waterbreathing spell. Yawning lazily, i lay bac for a moment and look up at the over hanging canopy. the way the sun came thrue the tree branchs and leaves, made it seem like it was a green meadow with snow patches here an there. "Levith! Are you out here?" I look to my left, down the small bridge.. Kayle walked slowy up the steps, holding my large, ornate bow and quiver. "Nia told me to bring you this; she said you should go hunting. ill fish while your hunting." He hands me the bow, heavy for his small size. i take it, laughing becaus it only seemed a few pounds to mee. i walked a little ways before Kayle threw me my quiver. it only hd 4 arrows, each about half the size of Kayle. I had custom made each arrow, forging thier tips frrom an old sword that Nia kept near her bed. sure, Nia gave me her permission to do it, but it still bugged me that Nia only walks around with a large dagger hidden in her left boot.... I departed from Kayle, walking slowly out to my stand on the second riverpass to the north of the fishing hole. Here, it was lush and grassy, seeping water from the large river. Climbing up the stand, i sit and notch an arrow to my bow, yawn silently, and wait. I had sit there for around 30 minutes, before i heard the low russleing of a rabbit. i re-adjust myself, my left hand holding my arc-bow tightly, the other on the custom made dragons sinew bowstring. the rabbit, about 12 feet below and 30 feet away from me, chewed on a small tuft of grass. its ears flipped like grass in the wind. Pulling the string back, i take aim, the feathers of the arrow touching my nose. I hated hunting these animals, becaus it made me feel like i was controlling its fate. i let the string go, the arrow hitting the rabbit in the head, digging in deep and stopping, the inertia causing her to roll a few yards. I jump down, landing heavily with a loud crash. The rabbit was a late-snowshoe rabbit, its fur hadnt changed collors, making it easy for me to spot it. I pick up the large rabbit, it probobly weighed 12-14 pounds. Nia would probobly fix a stew with it, giving me the fur to make something with it. As i walk back to the house, my boredom lets my mind wander. What was Nia thinking last night, and how did she become so skilled? i roll my eyes to the back of my head, not wanting to get too engrossed in the thought. Kayle sat on the bridge as i stepped on it. he had caught a good 10 fish, much, much more than i can catch. "Remember to bring them up when you come back," i remind him before i step off the opposite side. I could barely see, but thrue my periffrial vision i see him roll his eyes exederating it to the extreme. The rabbit hung loosly in my arm, dripping blood with every step. I always wondered why Rabbits tasted so different from other meats, but to me, food is food. Like i said, Nia will most likely make a stew or roast with it so its not gunna bother me much. I step into the open back door and walk into the dining room. Nia is there, reading a small note. I could see traces of tears in her eyes. The rabbit would be used for later, sooo i take it into the kitchen and set it down in the coldbox. "Nia, are you okay?" I ask Nia, Sitting next to her. If her eyes werent enough to prove she was upset, her long, silver hair wasnt wrapped. That, if you know Nia, Means that she is too upset to put it up. "Nia?" I repeat, placing my arm on her shoulder. She closed her eyes and looked down, tears rolling off of her nose slowly. "Yeah... Im fine... I just... i dont know....." She said, handing me the note. i flip it upside down, not reading it. she gets up and walks off into the darkness, leaving me kneeling beside an empty chair. i flip the note up and read it.
To the residents of Drakemourn Manor.
This is Umbricaro Doxx, Lead specialist at Vannim Supprimecy. We have reports of an excaped convict on the premisis. The attached files are photos of what the creature looks like. If you have any questions, please be sure to contact us as soon as you can. On that note, we would like you to evacuate the area as part of a safety measure. We will take Drakemourn Manor by force by Glavehaven 3rd, so you will have 2 days to pack. As soon as i flipped the pictures over, i stood, my heart throbbing fast. The photos were of me on my escape out of the Facility. They want Nia and kayle to evacuate so they can capture me.. I look over the pictures again each one crumpled and worn. Most of them were just pictures of bloody footprints, but one particular photo scared me more than the others. It was me, the fire of the broken fuel tanks in the back masking out my body, making me completely black, with dead guards strewn around my feet. I walk to the fire with the photos, looking them over one last time before throwing them in, the flame temporarily fluxuating colors, turning green and blue then back to yellow and orange. I raise my left claw, in my 'spur-of-the-moment' fashion. Rabbit's blood and white fur coated my hand. Why am i hunted? What have i done wrong? Is it becaus im different? I walk away, stepping in front of the water basin, cold water rinsing the gore of hunting away. I refuse to let Nia get hurt by my being.... I will leave Nia... I will leave Nia and Kayle.... And run.... Run like a coward.. I wipe my hands and wrists dry with a soft white towl, the fibres scratching lazily on my hand. slowly, i turn, heading in out of the kitchen in into the hall, heading to Nia's room. I stand in the dark hall for a few moments, watching into the room. Nia sits on her bed, skin bare, besides her black-lace underwear. I close my eyes, resting against the doorframe. Nia looks at me, her soft and caring blue eyes glistening with tears. "Theres no easy way to say this, Nia. I cannot stay with you." I speak slowly and solemly, grief ridden for bringing this upon her. "Levith... dont go.... you can stay... please... i want to help you.." Nia stood, walking up to my and placing both her hands on my chest, open palmed. "I am sorry, Nia... If i stay, you and Kayle will be killed." Nia burst into tears as i spoke. "Do not cry for me Nia...." She slaps me hard, knocking me off balance and causing me to stumble back. I raise my hand to my eye, her sharpened nails cutting into my skin. "Why cant I?! Your about to leave me and Kayle and you expect me to forget it like its nothing! I cant do that, Levikarth! I would be dead without you!" She stopped, lowering her head in shame. I lower my hand, blood dripping from the wound slowly. "I love you, Lev... Why cant we fight them? Why?" Nia asks beggingly. I look over, avoiding eye contact with Nia, only to See Kayle standing in the hall with the note in one hand. "whats going on mom?" He asks Nia quietly. Nia ignores the boy, focused completely on me. "Please Levith.... dont go.." Nia leans into me sudictivly, trying to persuade me. i look down on her, my eyes blurry with tears. "i will return, Nia... One day i will be back... i do not expect you to wait for me.. nor for you to understand what i must do.." I tell nia, walkins slowly to Kayle. i place my left shoulder on his right, his eyes as wet as his mothers. "I expect you to take care of your mother, child." My claw slides off his shoulder, and as i take a step foreward; i hear Nia curse me. "Your the same as Kalec.... You care about me more than yourself!! What kind of father figure will you be to Kayle when your caught by them, ripped apart and put in jars?!" She spoke without emotion. I turn from kayle and slowly walk to Nia. the care in her eyes are gone, full of rage and anger. She will not accept that i must leave. " For reasons i know not i am hunted, never able to be happy. If i stay, i will seal the fate of you and Kayle. My time here is up." Nia'as eyes seemed dead now, sorrow and hatred consuming them as i spoke. Nia raised her hand to my shoulder, and leaned into me. i raised my right hand, pushing her by the chest back. "Move on, Nia.... Untill i am safe, you cannot be." She eyed me mournfully. "Your going to die, arent you?" She backed down, hanging her head downn and speaking softly. "I cannot answer your question." I tell her emotionless. She turns, slowly lingering into her room. Kayle walks in her room too, thier cries low, but still audiable. As i trudge through the hall and back into the kitchen, my actions depressed my skin. I open the the top cubbard above the small sink, the kniferack clanking loudly with the rythm of my pull. one knife stuck out a little bit more than the others, about 4 inches longer and much, much sharper. I heft the blade, coaxing the edge lightly with oil first, and put it in its over-sized sheath. I slowly gather my belongings in the darkness of the night, distant owls and Jasilisk cries faintly resounding agianst the hard silence. I walk into Nia's room, my head hung low in both shame and depression, retrieving my few Overkirsts from the drawers. I could feel them looking at me, but the mix of emotions i ws getting was uneasy. I worked slowly, dropping my only 3 articles of clothing into my black satchel. "Just tell me why, levith.... Why must you leave... we could fight them..." I hear Nia speak slowly from behind me, her voice hoarse from crying. "Even if i told you, you would not understand..." I tie the bag losely, walking thrue the doorway agian. I heard Nia curse me for my stupidity, but i only lower my head and walk towards the darkness of the woods.
My large hooves padded heavily on the beaten path, each step a litlte bit slower than the last.Faintly, i could hear the cry of a young Jasalisk. I btohered me a small mount, becaus at the time being i would not be able to defend myself from it. my hand raises to my left eye, my eye still watering from the pain. i could hear the low rumble of a cart behind me. I back off the side of the road, and the cart ccomes into apearance. it was small, most likely one of our poor neibours. The drakmar-sled kart slowly pulled up to me. The opperator was female, maybe about 21, 22 years old. She seemed like she stopped for me, so i smiled as i spoke. "Mind helping me out a bit?" I startle myself at the words, not expecting my voice to be so loud. she smiled benieht her hood. Something bothered me about her fangs, whitch stuck completely out of her mouth, but triusting her would be a hell of a lot better than walking. She offeres me her hand, but i ddecline and scale the wooden side. sme smiles as i sit in the back. "You know, you can sit up here with me.." Her pale yellow eyes were soft and kind, almost seducing. I walk up past her and sit on the seat beside her. She lashes the reigns, the Drakmar moving foreward ata steady rate. "So whats your reason to be out so late?" I ask the girl softly. She chuckles and points back at 2 crates. "im delivering those boxes of iron ore to The Darkest Darkness." she seased speaking for a moment, looking me over with anxiety. "So, where are you going?" I hadnt thought of that, clearly this being visable on my face. "Im just going were the world takes me, i guess." she chuckles softly, leaning back on the wooden seat. The night wears on, she at the drivers seat, me looking over everything. we at long last arrive at the long, stone bridge to Aaru Murr. The girl told me that the drakmar were tired, and that we had to rest for the night. i reluctantly allow her to lead us off the road and to a small, doored cave. She opens the door slowly, smiling. Always smiling. She allows me to walk in front. My spine screamed at me that something was wrong. I threw it off my mantle, crouching down to get inside. "So are we going to..." ~KRACK!~ I fall, landing on my head. She walkes to my side, smilling, holding a large mace. I awake what seems several hours later in a thick-iron cell. From the looks of the walls, it seemed that i was still in the cave she lead me to. I focus my vision for a moment, the pale light of the single torch in the hall shedding shallow light onto the other cells. There were about 5 Vannim, from the looks of it, all cowereing far in the recesses of their prisons. "So where is he?" a deep voice comes from beyond my vision, familiar in a strange way. "He's in cell 3. I found him walking on the side of the street." This voice was clear. The girl who was driving. Slowly, a figure clad in dark blue leather armor walks infront of the cell, turning towards me. A thick black eyepatch covers his right eye, his left a fiery red color. His fur was deep black. "Hmm...." He unlocks my cell, walking in. I try to rush towards him, my wrists stuck to the wall. i look at them, A thick iron strap holding them back. My hooves were adorned the same way. "Who the hell are you!?" I lash out in my restraints, knowing all too well that it was useless. The Vannim in blue smirks, letting the girl in. She caried a thick whip, small but deadly-looking blades tied to its edge. The blue Vannim walks up to me, eying me. "Ahh... A ravager... It's been years since i've seen one of your kind... Well, alive that would be much longer." he smiles whickedly. The girl smiles, handing him the whip. "So, Tell me Ravager... How would you like to help me?" The leader crosses his arms. "I can give you gold. Fame. Women." He smiles. Rage builds in my veins as i bark at him. "What are you talking about?" The man dosnt flinch, my teeth an inch away from his face, but restrained by my constricted arms. "Aaru Murr. I'm going to raid it. And you, My friend, Will help me." He lets the coiled whip's tip fall to the ground, gripping the handle loosely. I lash out in my reigns, my wrists hurting from rubbing against the aged iron. "Like hell I will!" He frowns, like he was more dissapounted than angry. He rotates, taking about 3 steps away. He turns swiftly, lashing with the whip. It strikes me in my shoulder, rending my flesh open. I turn my head slightly to it, then back to him, clenching my teeth.

Time passes quickly, my torture painfull and brutal. They had stopped now, probobly leaving to go to sleep. They decided that if they were going to use me, then i couldn't be completely torn up, so they had released my hands and placed a heavy arcanium clasp on my hoove, the other side connecting me to the wall. I could move about the room, but that was about it. I hear a small, thin voice from the cell to my right. "So, What do they have you for?" The voice was a man's, elderly, but resolute, strong in its own way. "I dont know. I was walking to Aaru Muur and then here i am." I slide myself over to the stone wall, beyond this wall was my audience. "What are they holding you for?" I slide the plate of stale bread they had left for me. If i wanted to survive, i'd have to get all i could. I could hear him cackle, clearly calm about what had happened. "I killed their formal leader when he tried to abduct my daughter." He shifts, or thats what i hear. "Your lucky.. Im sorry, I never caught your name." He pauses, waiting for my name before he continues. "Levikarth. You may call me Levith." I speak low, not wanting my identity thrown about everywhere. "And yours?" i ask the man. "Ehh... I forgot my Birth-Name and Clan-Name long ago.. But my soul name is Fauther." I smile, confuses slightly about the Birth-Name/ Clan-Name thing. I've never heard anyone say that before. Maybe it's just Arumurikin custom or something. "Pleased to meet you, Fauther." I tried to stick my arm thrue the wall, but the bars were to close. Fauther continued his story. "Your lucky, Levikarth. They plan to kill me in a few days, it seems." I tilt my head, thinking of some way i can help. "Theres nothing you can do, Friend. I've seen many people try to escape.. No one has succeeded." Fauther seemed to able to read my mind. After a long silence, I ask him how long he's been here. "143 days, give or take a few." i hear him scratch the wall, most likely putting a tally for how long he was there. "Levith, do you have family?" he asked. I think about this, the words like a searing brand on my heart. "I used to. I left them becaus they would've been killed becaus of me." Fauther grunts, aknowledging my decision. We speak about many things, about the land, the creatures. He describes where He's from to me, a strange place called Dreuthlar. He tells me that its always snowy there. I've always liked snow. He yawns, his claws scraping as he stands. "Goodnight Levith. Get some sleep. We'll need it." I slowly walk acrossmy cell, onto the hay- pile in the corner. i lay back in it, glad that i didnt have to sleep on the floor. That night, i have a dream that chills my spine~
"Levikarth! Get in here and look at your Brother!" My father, Baelgor, Stands infront of the decaying corpse of a vannim female. i make no sound, looking my father eye to eye. He smiles, pointing to the corner. A large blaze lights the room in the said corner. I walk slowly to it, drawn to it. From the flames emerge a replica of me- Or at least, some kind of bloodline from my species. It was much skinnier than me, but still apeared strong. Flames danced on its skin. 2 lowered horns protruded his skill and curled foreward sadisticly. It's glare pierces into me, its stiched mouth unmoving.. It's chest was split, like mine, but much thinner.~ "Wake up! DAMNIT! GET UP!" I feel a sting in my foot, and jump back. A guard stands in the hall, and throws a set of cuffs in my cell. "Cuff yourself up, were transportin' ya to a different location." Behind him slowly walks a strange crauter, resembling a vannim but with wolfish features.. It turns towards me, looking at me for a quick moment before walking off.. It was Fauther. I quickly do as told, walking slowly to the door. He opens it and leads me in the way Fauther was walking. I follow them outside, a massive boat behind the cave exit. This, i could tell, wasn't the same entrance i entered at. The bandits told our group- consisting of Fauther, a few younger vannim, And me.- That we were to get on the boat and stay on the undergallows. I decided that at this time, figthing would not be the best idea, taking into account that the marauders numbers far surpassed mine. Fauther walks foreward, in single file fashion towards the large boat. I follow right behind him, hoping that we can stay together if at all possible. He whispers under his breath to me. "See up there on the Stark?" For a moment i walked confused. "Stark?" i had no idea what the word meant. "The wheel, the driver's seat. It's called a stark. Look." His voice is lower and shallower than mine, maybe from age. I look up to where he described, following the silhouette of the massive ship. Standing with a group of highers, the blue-armored lord smiled whickedly. His kind made me sick. "Make your time, fool." I whisper to myself under my breath. Fauther steps onto the boarding plank, the noise of his padded paws nearly inaudiable. I continue my following, not letting him out of my reach. They lead us down to large cells, clearly designed for massive slave-transport. A guard is leaned against one of the bars, drooling in sleep. "Kak! Wake up! There no time for sleeping you hair-lip!" The bandit that lead us boomed in anger, his scarred and furry face red with rage. The guard, probobly a rookie, Skuttles to his feet, saluting and standing in military form. The guard fumbles for a moment, then opens the cage to the left and right. Me, Fauther, a vannim girl and an elderly vannim are led into the right, and the left is assigned to a group of 5 vannim males. The guard confuses me. He didnt look much older than 15 summers. I ease myself to the side of the cage where he sat on a wooden bench. He saw me moving towards the side, and he gripped his iron-tipped pike. "Easy there. If i wanted to escape i would've done it long ago." My words were true. The only reason that i was here was becaus Fauther was leaving with me. Slowly, i ease myself up, sitting against the cold bars. "So, When did you decide that being a bandit would be the best job for you?" i speak low so that the other prisoners, who where huddled at the other side of the cell, couldn't hear me. The guard looks at me for a moment with a strange look of young-innocence. He turns away from me after a few seconds. "I didnt. And i can't talk to you, if they find out that where talking ill be in there with you." He sets his pike against the wall, knowing now that i meant him no harm. A large wave crashes against the side of the boat, showing everyone in ice-cold water. "What do you mean, you didn't decide?" his words confuzed me majorly. "Well..." The guard looked around the wooden wall that the pike was leaned against, witch led to the upper-deck. I take it that it was clear, becaus he spoke. "I was found by them when i was a child, and the Sygma where there for me as i grew up. They paid for my education, my training, everything." He smiles slightly. "So you became a guard for them?" In a skewed logic, it did make sense. "Yeah. It keeps Jaimie fed, so it's better than being unnemployed." the boy smiled, looking up. something about him seemed very familiar. "Do i know you?" i stood to my feet, trying to get a better look at him. His eyes widened, and he turned away. "No way. I'm from... Umm... Dreuthlar. Yeah, I live up in the north." he flitched around alot, and it was clear he was lying. "Whats the capitol of Dreuthlar?" I lower my hands, still in their shackles. "Thats easy. Gaevin." he smiles, as if he knew he were right. "Wrong. Dreuthlar is a region, therefore has no capitol. What is your name?" he exhaled deeply, realizing that he had lost. "Gregory Ekys." He looked over at me and it all fell into place. He was a friend of Kayle's. "What the hell are you doing here man?" I smack the iron cage with my steel bindings, causing him to jum. he stands, looking around the wall again. "i told you, man! Even when i was friends with Kael I was part of the Sygma!" He returns to his seat. Another colossal wave of ice-water clashes against the hull, spraying water all over us. "Levith, Look, I'll help you get out of here, Only if you can get the others to safety." He lowers his head, thinking. "Just follow my lead. In the morning where going to hit land, so we have a chance there." He sits back in his seat, trying to get some sleep. It occured to me that i hadn't said anything to the other cell-mates, so i slid my way over to them. I hold out my hand to the girl, who shook for a moment from the cold, then shook my hand back. "My name is Levith." She stays quiet for a moment, then speaks so low that it was near a whisper. "Kira.." She shook again, this time attracting the attention of Fauther. I watch as he walks to her side, removing his ragged mantle and placing it on her. Her shivering slows, but still persists. The male in the cell sat in the corner, writing with a piece of old charcoal on a piece of sack. I hold out my hand to him, greeting myself again. He shakes my hand back, slowly saying 'Alphonse' back to me. Darkness falls onto the boat, the moon casting an eerie yellow light onto us. I shake everyone awake, ready to explain Greg's plan to them. Fauther and Kira agreed instantly, But Al semmed appaled by it's simplicity. "What makes you think that we can just Escape like nothing has happened? What makes you think that we are even on S'ilvios?!" Al started getting violent, yelling. We tell him to be quiet repeditivly, yet he keeps his consistant yelling. "Why dont we just jump overboard and try to swimm to shore, Huh?! Why dont we just catch the wing of a flying Roc!?" Something overcomes me and I punch him square in the head, knocking him out. "Change of plans. I'm going to be carrying Alphonse." I say low, in a joking manner.

"Wake up, Skum!" The marauder from before rapped his spear against the cell. We were awake, yet we pretended to be asleep so as not to attract thier attention. From the corner of my eye, i see Greg standing, his cloak flipped up to conceal his face. It bothered me, for a moment, that our lives, or at least our lives right now, were in the hands of a mere child. We stand, close in unison and walk towards the cell door. I let the others go first, Alphonse's glare on me like a hawk on its prey. It seemed to me that he wasnt too happy, but he would get over it. As i walk thrue the door of the cell, the guard's spear-head contacts with the back of my skull. "Eh, Where do ya think yer' goin? I aignt lettin you leave, Demon." He strikes by back with the butt of the spear, cackling with enjoyment. "Ya dont talk to much, do ya?" He places the spear head back to my neck, applying force. "Well i'll cha-" A muffled scream comes from behind me, the spear dropping from my neck. I turn, The guards sanguine-coated body laying lifeless on the floor. Gregory pulled his pike from his neck, whiping the blood from it with the foe's hair. "Get going, before they find out." He points the spear at the back of my neck, taking over the roll that the dead guard once played. I step up the few stairs and into the sunlight, raising my cuffed hands to block out the sun. As much as i savored not being in the cell, the white frost that covered this land wasn't at all pleasing in contrast to the cold boat. For a moment, I move not, wondering if the moisture on my skin will freeze. While this would be neat, i decided against it and walked over to the gangplank, witch i walked over quickly. Gregory was right behind me, whispering in my ear 'im sorry. did i hurt you?' over and over. i say nothing to his response, Only lowering my head and meeting up with the group. Kira was the first one that spoke. "Levith, The leader left on a horse just a moment ago. If we are going to do this, we have to do this now." I nod my head slowly, looking down at my cuffs. "Greg." The young bandit looks at me, and then around the dock. "Follow me." Gregory shoved the spear into my back in attempt to add to the realism. He pushed harder than he though, and i can feel a small dribble of blood from my back. The numbing cold probobly froze the blood before i could really say anything about it. Greg leads us around the docks and out into the market. He eyes a slave-trader and then hands our cuffs to them. "You wanna make 50 gold?" We stay with the trader for a few minutes. He says that he knew that we where escapees, and that he would help us. He, however, wanted something in return. Gregory returns, wearing an aqua Tuxedo-suit. He starts talking to the slaver and walks away. The trader smiles, then looks at me. I did not like the looks of this. Gregory taps his foot for a moment, then walks to me. He crosses his arms, looking at Kira and Alphonse before direction his speach to me. "He wants to use you." The words are just words to me, and in response i ask; "What does he want?" Greg purposely lets a long few minuets pass before running his hands thrue his hair and exasperating deeply. "He wants to mate you with his slaves. There all Female Vannim. He says he's seen a Ravager and Vannim breed before.." I glare at him. What kinda whore did he think i am? "And you expect me to go in some... Breeding facility, and go ******** all these Vannim for my freedom?" The slaver smiles, yelling from behind them. "Thats the idea!" I snarl my thin, ravigious fangs at him. " SHUT UP!" I walk to a nearby house, propobly the slaver's, and let myself fall to the snow-blanketed ground. Kira walks beside me and sets her hand on my shoulder. "He just told me that i had to stripp for 3 days. Yay, huh?" I look up to her. "Well.. we are going to have to do these.. tasks.. if we want to escape.." Alphonse laughs so hard that i am forced to kick him in the shin. He soon shuts up. Greg walks from where he stood, kneeling beside me and whispering to me. "I dont see any other way out of this, man.." Greg looked up at Kira. "It could be much worse, we could have to kill half this town to get out of here.. This far north, laws arent enforced..." His words where cold and true for the young Vannim's age, and i thought about them for a moment. "Tell him that I'll be waiting when he finds my.." I shake my head. ".. Mate." I walk into the slaver's house, looking at the living room. It was so much different then mine.. Nia's, i mean. It had 2 stories and a basement, and a wine-cellar. I walk to the frost-covered couch and lay down, hearing my spine pop loudly. Kira, Alphonse, and Fauther follow me inside. Fauther sits on the ancient-looking recliner, preaching softly to us as he waits for Greg. Kira sits next to me, forcing me to sit up. She randomly lays herself across my lap, and as i open my mouth to protest, she speaks loudly and clearly. "You are warm, I am cold. Get over it." Greg steps inside, the slaver following behind him. I speak quickly before he is able to say anything. "I want to know the name of my employer." He is taken aback, stunned by the rudeness of the 'slave'. "My name Euhrick. But my name is not important, slave, you have a job to do." He smiles at me as if his own rudeness didnt surpass mine. "How many.." He cuts me off, speaking loudly and obnoxiously. "There is 15 slaves that i want you to.." I cut him back off, standing so quickly that Kira is knocked to the ground, "15?! What the HELL, Man?!" He glares at me as i yell at him. "There is NO way i'm going to impregnate 15 Vannim Slaves!" I walk towards the door, openign it and standing in the doorway as Eurhrick speaks. "Then i will tell the Sygma where you are." I walk up to him, glaring him down and baring my wicked, thin teeth. He is not even phased by the fact that i could slay him if i wanted, but then he smiles as he looks at his watch. He opens his mouth to speak, but Kira speaks before him. "I'll make it up for him. I'll work off the payment at the bar down the street. Then i'll pay you the money." Euhrick laughs, then looks back at Kira. "The deal was that i get a pregnant slave, My child. I cannot just let you go, knowing i could have such a wonderful chance at getting such a rare hybrid." He wrings his hands together, his smilin fading as he turns to me. "You give me one night, you and a slave, and then i'll let you go. Deal?" He holds out his hand, His words sinking into me. 1 was a hell of alot better than 15. I take his hand in mine, clenching it tightly so it was visianle his pain. "One night." I take a step back inside, before Greg makes an intellegent discovery. "We have to get you guys out of those chains. You.." He points to Alphonse and Kira. "Could go out and work or something so i pay for our divergence, and Levith could stay here with Euhrick and his slaves." Greg made a geasture to his clothing. "But you two are going to need to change your clothing. Walking around in just enough cloth to protect your nudity is a good way to get killed. Im gunna go get you guys some clothes." He narrows his eyes, walking to th door. A light dusting of snow now slowly fell from the heavens. As Greg leaves, i walk back over to where Kira lay. She was sound asleep. I felt kinda bad for knocking her off the bed, so i picked her up and set her back on the bed, throwing a worn conferter over her in wich i found in a nearby corner. It bothered me slightly how Euhrick kept his home so unkept. I look at the dead-fireplace. "Euhrick, do you have any fire wood? It's cold as death in here. He gave me a shrewd smile. "Nope. But out in the back you could eithr split it or go find some yourself." I glare at him, before walking to threu the narrow hall-way. There was 2 doors to my left, and a door to my far- right, down another hall. I open the back door that stood infront of me, stepping outside. The raised patio beneith me creaks slightly, the snow that lathered the ground and wood was thin and fluffy. I take my steps slowly down the few stairs onto the ground and following the path into the woods. An axe lay against the gate that lead into said woods, and i take it in my left hand. I didnt care what wood i needed, i just didnt want to see Kira freeze to death under these reverse-hell conditions. My axe cracks against a large log, spliting it in half. I grab the two pieces and throw them on the patio, grabbing another and spliting it. i do this untill i have abotu 10 or 11 pieces of large lumber. I take them in my arms and walk back inside. Kira was sitting up, writing in a small black journal with a pice of black chalk. I walk past her, not disrupting her as i put 3 pices of the triangular wood into the oven. "Kira? Come here." She gives me a 'What the hell?' look before closing the book and kneeling beside me. "Place your hand undernieth the wood.." She gives me another 'what the hell' look before doing so. I grab her wrist, whispering Vanarkin words under my breath. "Iluminati" She rapidly withdrew her hand as the wood ignites, and she stares at me in half-awe fear. "What the hell was that?!" She places her hand on her heart, an attempt to slow her frantic and rapid breathing. "Vanarkin Magic. You probobly wouldn't know alot about it." I wring my hands together, placign them closee to the fire. Alphonse was gone, my guess was that he left with Euhrick to go 'Inspect the slaves' Greg returns, carrying a large satchel. "Hey, i found a clothing store down the street. Kira. Here." He throws the satchel to her, missing horribly and causing me to catch it. I hand it to her. "Thanks Greg... How much did it cost you?" Greg shook his head. "It's nothing. It wasnt that expensive." Kira opened the satchel, taking a pair of woolen pants and a thick half-dress. She puts it back in and shoulders it, standing and walking to Euhrick, who had just at that moment, returned from the basement with Alphonse. Kira was directed upstairs to change. "So, when are you going to breed with my slave?" Euhrick asked. I shake my head and lower it. "Now, if acceptable. I just wanna get this done." The slaver laughs, patting me on the back. I growl lowly at him. "Follow me." he demands, walking stoicly into the doorway and down the dark stairs. The voice in my head implored me not to enter. But that voice was almost a whisper now. I am led to a large open chamber that semed part of a cave sysem. cage after cage of white arcanium bars stare at me as i eye the feral vannim within. He nudges me, grinning. "Take your pic." I turn to him, half consumed with rage. "Okay, look here you damn triator, You pick who i have to ******** to get the hell out of here, okay?! I dont care, i want t all behind me!" I turn back toward the cage, clenching my claw so tight that i feel blood. A soft voice somes from behind us. "Master?" Euhrick and i turn to the source, The nearest cage to Euhrck. "Soph, you need sleep. C'mon, girl, look at you..." Euhrick placed his hand inside the cage, and for the first time i can see the woman to witch he spoke. The woman's body was phenominal, her curves accenting her grey fur elegantly. Her bust was slightly smaller than Nia's, and she wore a thin cloth bra and a ragged half-dress. Her left eye was conceiled by a large bandage. I kneel down infront of the cage, looking the woman over. "I'm fine... Is.. is this the Ravager?" She comes to a sitting position from her laying one, rubbing her arms to warm them up. "Yes." She very smiles slightly at me, then speaks ack in her soft, depressed voice "Pleased to meet you." She moves herself over to the side of the cage, taking it's bars in her hands. "Are... Are you going to make him breed..?" Soph, who's name was Sophia, looked down, drawing a large 'd' like shape in the dirt. "Aye... I'm not sure if they could.." Soph interupted him. "But i could.. You've told me that over and over... i have child bearing hips..." Euhrick looks down, taking his key-ring from his belt. "I'm sorry, but your gunna have to do it... i wish i didnt have to do this.." Sophia stood, her stance nearly perfect. it was easy to tell that she was made a slave and not born as such. "Save it... You dont care about me, only my womb..." She walks out of the cage, beconing me to follow. She leads me deeper into the cavern. soon, the cavern ends and wood replaces the stone walls. The walls lead to a large, circle room covered in pillows and furs of all types. Ioun crystals circled the wall, causing the room to be illuminated in light. She slowly walks to the center, wrapping a fur around herself and pulling her bra-cloth.
