Stuck in the darkness,
not finding the light.
Masked by the lies of others,
unable to protect the emotions.
Hate pulsing through the air,
overpowering the love within.
Searching for a break,
but unable to reach a goal.
Smiles no longer masking the pain,
an open book for all to see.
Screaming for a resolution,
but its too far away.
Longing for the embrace of another,
but he doesn't see it the same.
