THE CULT'S BEGINNING
The bright shafts of moonlight shone through the trees, everything under it alluminated. And there we were, all three of us. Following the prophecy. Tru was gazing into the trees, half expecting for some unknown force to come. Rose fiddled with her hair strands, nervous about the proceeedings. I sat in the shadows, stroking my pet rat's back as I silently prayed the rain would have little effect on our plans. "I can't take this." Tru was by my side, suddenly angry and impatint. "I agree, we've been here for hours." Rose was now by her side, eager for it to end so we could go back to our average life, or to us was average. I closed my eyes and bit my lip, dreaming of a far-off mountain that was calling my name. "Give him time. He is not as young and as fast as we are." Tru sat down moodily i the grass, her dark eyes piercing through the blackness that surrounded us. "Kitsune, I'm not sure if he'll be here. He might be afraid," she hesitated, "of us." She sighed and rubbed a finger down my rat's head. "Don't worry, sister dearest, he will come." There was a sense of rebellion in the way i pronunced 'will.' I hoped silently to myself they hadn't heard. My rat, Tsuki, clawed into my arm, suddenly afraid. The wind whistled through the trees, whipping by us. Rose's long blonde hair whipped by my eyes, Tru's black and red hair lashed out violently. My long blonde hair whipped by, yet i held a long nail to my razor cut bangs, keeping them in place over my eye. Tru stared at me, her eyes reflected trust toward me. "Maybe he is coming." Rose glanced around, uncertain. "But, where is he?" I scanned the darkness, stepping even farther into the shadows as I did so. Tsuki instinctively crawled down my shirt, her round black eyes above the hem. I made no notion of helping her out. Instead, I warned my sisters in a hushed whisper. "He's nerly here. Step back, he won't be happy to see us. Into the shadows, now." Tru stood up and swiftly slunk into the darkness, Rose eagerly behind her. An ear-shattering snarling pierced through the air. Our hearts froze i our chests, the soft drizzle of rain becoming a purr in the back of our minds. A huge, black shape suddenly burst from the shadows, dripping as it froze in the center of a pool of moonlight. His head was down, the glistening white fangs shimmering in the moonlight. He stood there for merely seconds, yet they were agonizingly painful for all three of us. He finally moved, the rain glinting on his black pelt, as he raised off of his four paws, moving toward us. The black fur mixed with pale white as he suddenly changed. The monstrocity of a beast before us had transformed into a beautiful teenager, his black hair covering one of his eyes, sticking to his face. His soaked hair clung to his face and dropped almost down to his shoulders as he closed his eyes. He brushed a pale hand slowly through his hair as he made a slow step toward me. "Kitsune," his voice was musical and soothing, "it's been a long time. Too long." I made a brave step toward the strange boy. Please, oh please let him remember all I've done for him... "Okami, I need you more than ever now." His deep yellow orbs suddenly flashed to mine. I couldn't breath for a minute. My lighter yellow eyes flashed painful memorie back to me. Tru was in shock, she didn't believe what she was seeing. Rose stared in awe at the strange boy, this Okami. Okami let a sincere laugh esape his lips as he swiftly was by my side, an arm around my shoulder. "Now let's discuss these problems of your's, all of you." His hand descended to my neck, lightly tapping the silver wolf head around my black hemp choker. A soft ring of the bell hidden under the wolf head rung through the night. Tsuki darted down my shirt, afraid, sensing the threat in his cold grip on the bell and my shoulder. "Come, Tru. Rose. We must obey Okami, he is my most trusted friend on these matters." I closed my eyes and whispered softly to myself. And hopefully he won't be angry with me... after all me and him have been through... Okami smiled sweetly as he led me to a tree, Rose and Tru sitting stunned behind us.
