Yea, math is killing me. I mean, I'm getting good grades, but in class, I shouldn't open my mouth. He skips steps in weird ways, so I get lost and have to ask, but when I start to ask, I figure it out, or what I ask is really really stupid and obvious. There's this one girl, Bonnie, who sits in front of me, and she's all know-it-all-I-already-did-this-and-have-random-s**t-memorized. ALL THE TIME. I don't even bother asking her stuff because my mistakes are usually really silly. I can do the complex stuff, but I ******** up the easy parts in the homework constantly. I did the same problem four times between last night and today before I finally figured out where I messed up. We had a quiz today, and miss know-it-all finished when I did, despite her having memorized so much of it. I don't buy the memorization thing for one second if I finish at the same time, working through the entire problem from scratch. As we were leaving, Mr. Smith followed us out and I heard him tell her that her memory had failed her. hehehe. I feel bad that I half-smiled at that, but REALLY. It's better to know the technique than to memorize specific problems. And while I'm terrible at homework problems, I do the quizzes easily.
We were learning about the families of instruments and the instruments in them today. For almost EVERY instrument, I could think of someone I know who plays it or tried to play it at some point ^_^ OH, and they had a picture of Santana in our book next to the part about guitars, which was awesome 'cause it's someone I actually recognize AND have heard play live (huzzah for going to Jazz Fest instead of studying for civics AP xD).
Thomas is trying to teach me Japanese and Chinese. I told him he can't teach me both at the same time like he tried to do last night with "goodnight". So he stuck with Japanese.
so.....yea, after chemistry we're leaving to go to Caitlyn's. gah. I don't wanna go. I want to go home, but I can't. If I can't go home, I'd rather stay here, but I decided to go a week ago. Hopefully I'll actually be able to get online this weekend. Of all weekends to be separated from my main line of communication with everyone @_@ And my only decent source of weather reports. speaking of which, I'm gonna go watch the latest right now.
