Karin and Sara walked back to Ellinia. Owls hooted. Insects chirped. Night creatures roamed the once bright and sunny forest under the control of the moon. Fireflies danced through the sky and twirled for the travelers that could watch their spellbinding dance. Karin smiled at the glowing bugs while Sara swatted the bugs away. They climbed up the ladder and walked to Sara’s house. “Good night,” Karin said yawning as she brought her arms up over her head. “Bye,” Sara voice shoot at Karin and the door shut with a thunk. Karin closed her eyes; she’s still bad at me. What did I do?
Sara and John Sara’s piercing blue eyes met with John’s chocolate brown ones. Sara looked away, pushing the memories back to her head, trying with all her might not to have the past emotions show on her heart shaped face. John snickered at the frustrated magician, fight back a laugh. Why, she thought, remembering the last time they were together.
Few Months Ago “John! Over here!” Sara yelled waving her tin arms around to catch the attention of a boy. John smiled and walked towards her, flipping a few strands of hair from his face. His arm reached for her their hands inter twinged, swaying back and forth. They walked down the beach of Maple Island, holding onto what they had left. “Sara, I don’t know how to tell you this,” John scratched his head, avoiding eye contact. Sara’s eyes that were once filled with hope washed away, leaving fear. “I don’t want to be a magician.” He paused taking a second to look out at the ocean, ”I want to be a their.” John smiled at Sara, yes she thought, I finally told her. John puckered his lips leading forward for a kiss. BAM! Sara’s thin hand slapped across John’s face.
