Katherine ran through the empty streets of Silent Hill. The only noise she could hear were her rapid footsteps, her pant, and the minimum static emitting from the radio. She kept running forward, looking for John, her eyes swollen with tears.

"John!" she screamed out. But to no avail...The tears finally escaped her eyes. They rolled down her flushed cheeks, tracing down her face and dripping off her chin.

"John!" she screamed again. She wanted him back. She couldn't bear being left alone and not knowing if he was alright or not. Quite frankly it was making her heart ache.

She kept sprinting through a dead neighborhood, pressing through the thick fog. She looked left, then right, then ahead once more. He was nowhere! Where was he?! Katherine began to become frantic. "JOHN! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME! PLEASE!"

Her foot slammed into something, sending her tumbling forward. Her face scraped against the asphalt, creating a large blistering mark on her right cheek. She screamed out, feeling the sharp pain in her face. She kept her eyes shut tightly, hot tears rolling down her cheeks.

She clenched her teeth and cried loudly. Her fists balled up, so tightly that her knuckles turned white.

Katherine.....Get up.

Katherine ignored the voice and turned her face and body, curling up into a fetal position. "Leave me...be..." she muttered between sobs.

Are you lonely...?

Katherine's body trembled.

Katherine, I'm here. Submit to me, Katherine. Let me take over and I'll make all the bad things go away...We don't need that cop...

Katherine's shoulders went up and down, quickly while she sobbed. "Where's John...?" she muttered.

The voice, however, didn't reply. Katherine slowly opened her eyes and looked straight ahead. As she did, the radio began to play greater amounts of static. The loud sounds of sirens began to echo throughout Silent Hill.

Katherine remained completely still.

Darkness began to devour the town, cutting through the fog and overshadowing Katherine's legs, up to her waist, to her shoulders...

"John..."

Katherine was left in the dark....
