Sometimes, we get blindsided.
Sometimes, we don’t think before we act or speak.
Sometimes, we realize what we’ve done, a little too late. And no matter how hard we try, that person can’t find it in their heart to forgive you.
Cause, understand, that sometimes, it’s not so easy.
No matter how you beg and plead and cry, kick and scream, and apologize, there just needs to be time between you, before there can ever be time aside you.
Sometimes, regaining someone’s love and trust, doesn’t come so easy. Sometimes life’s a battlefield.
Yes, people will get hurt, and in a real war, killed. But sometimes, you have to make such sacrifices, to gain back everything you’ve ever had. Everything you’ve ever loved, cared for, looked up to, trusted in. everything you’ve ever known.
So yeah, it’s not all that easy.
But it’s for what you know you deserve.
For whoever or whatever deserves you.
We all make mistakes, that’s a fact. We can all be stupid, heartless, ungraceful, and absent minded, or anything for that matter.
We’re all going to hurt someone in life. We’re all going to hurt someone we love. Someone we don’t care much for. But still.
And, I don’t know about you, but I believe everyone deserves a second chance, and at least once, be forgiven.
But I also believe that if you can ever forgive somebody, or even accept an apology, you first must learn, to forgive yourself.
