Glance to the skylines Can't you see the man in the moon, darling; (Or is it just a dream?) Dangling from the luminous crescent tip As nick-knacks of long passed childhoods tumble out of my pocket, jacksjumpropesandmarbles bumping and bursting each star creating a path of moondrops at their wake (Making our own constellation) And listen close, dear; Can't you hear our song, played upon the violin legs of our dear old brother cricket and every cousin he could find, Just to help me make you smile.
And jumping in and out of consciousness, I'm not sure who to believe when it all feels like a dream, The only thing I know is that I Love You (Greater then the number of sparkling gems in the sky) And won't you meet me in the galaxy? We can stay all of tonight, 'till the sun comes up, staring as the glossy violet skies turn pink as I was the day we met, and fall back to the clouds before I hit the ground.
Sitting atop the moon I can't help but mistake it for a crystal orb, Floating above the horizon so I can give you the one thing just out of your r e a c h . . . and I can't seem to find the future in all the swirling silver instead looking to the stars for my answer though they've pointed in all directions it seems they're all focusing on you and all your radiance, shining brightly as if inspired by your beauty. And I can see the man in the moon just beyond my vision, winking and smiling. (Because you've always been my dream.)
Sunrise. The time in which we'll start anew Forget all we knew of the man in the moon and abandon our affairs with the stars under a blanket of midnight blue. (At least until twilight.) Still you stay. Heart in hand as every trace of black is exterminated leaving an orange glow painted on the tree tops and a red tint to our skin. Even as I retrace my every thought not one nightmare remains, and it seems you're the only dream that lasts in the day time.
