2) The Vietnam War was the first televised war. Many Americans were watching the TV and seeing the war pictures. If it was me, I would have revolted in the war and become a hippie. Know that much about the war is not always a good thing. I don’t think that they shouldn’t have put that much information on TV. This could have frighten maybe people including children. I think this is why a lot of American citizen were revolting against the war.
3) The US got into the Vietnam War for similar reasons that we got into the Korean War. We did it mainly because we were afraid of the Domino Theory and that communism would spread through out the world. We were afraid that more and more pockets of communist countries would appearance on the map. We also went to war because of the incident in North Vietnam when they fired at our ships. This was located in the Gulf of Tonkin and was named the Gulf of Tonkin incident. This was a reason for us to go over there and fight just like what we did the the Spanish-American War.
4) During the Vietnam War 19 year old soldiers were drafted for the war. These solders weren’t very happy about going to war. They felt ashamed and they tried to get out of it. If I just got out of high school and was drafted for this war, I guess I would have just ignored it so I wouldn’t have gone to war.If that didn’t work, I would have made up an medical excuse and probably like pull a muscle or something that would get me medically excused.
