That night they walked out to the edge of town. The presence they felt had finally left them here. They split up and took diffrent routes back to the house and hid in the shadows. Ellie had told Zane about the plan and he hid himself as well. Gale sat on a low roof top which was shadowed by the much larger buildings around it. They could feel the presence again but they knew it wasn't watching them now but the house instead. Ellie was in an alley way less than ten yards from the house and Cid was sitting in a tree in their neighbors yard. They waited for nearly an hour before they saw something move. It was invisible but as it moved it was able to be seen but only slightly. It approached the front of the house and revealed itself. Sophie who was near Gale nearly screamed when she saw the large spider Demon that was before them. Sophie's fireball was the signal. She fired it at one of the Demons leg. The leg caught fire and turned to ash. It stumbled but quickly caught its balance. It began to turn invisible but Cid shot from the tree and slammed his hammer into the Demons head causing it to stay visible. "Damned humans!!" Gale sighed as he walked up behind it. "This one talks too.... Why must my prey talk.... It makes things less interesting...." Gale jumped onto its back. "Where are the other little girls." "Hahahaha In my lair. You'll never find them." Gale slashed a large X in the Demons back. It screamed in pain and jumped into the air causing Gale to fall off. Gale landed on his feet and looked up. "Gale! Its getting away!" Ellie and Sophie joined Gale and Cid on in front of the house. "Heh just follow the trail...." They walked behind the house and quickly understood what Gale meant. The cut had caused the Demon to leave a trail of blood leading to its location. "Lets go Kid." Gale nodded and they ran off following the trail.
The Demon had gone invisible once again. He had reached his cave now and gone inside. He hid in the back of the web infested place. "Damned humans are always getting in the way. Atleast they can't stop me from feeding on what I've already collected." The Demon laughed hysterically and moved toward one of the webbed cocoons.
