Ok, There is a tradition in my family that I just recently heard of. burning_eyes Wich isn't surprising when you think about this particular one. sweatdrop I am the babby in the family and this particular tradition takes place on a babby's first birth day. blaugh I have had no younger siblings and my Nece will be turning one on January 17th. xd I can't wait!! OK, time to be a prowd Ant. redface She is the cutist little thing I have ever seen. Her smile is contages and she is so content. Hardly ever crys and only when she is tired. Her name is Catlin and I love her to death. She is my eldest sisters first babby and the first Grandchild on both sides. So you can be shore she will be spoiled and lavished with love. Well any way back to this tradition I was talking about. You give the child 4 coices. Weird right, I mean she's only one. -A Rosery -A Thimble -A Shot Glass -A Silver Dollor How are you to let the one year old decide? confused Well my dad says just to put all three infront of her and the first one she goes for is hers to keep. lol I found out because I saw a butiful rosery on another gift for her, and asked who it was for. What was my coice? sweatdrop Well I can't tell you, because I don't know. crying I asked my dad and he said that it is one of those traditons that seems so important at the time, 3nodding but no one remembers latter. sweatdrop I wonder what mine looked like, because I am shore I went for what ever was shiniest at the time. xp My personal rosery and the rosery for Catlen are verry shiny. I teach a pe-K sunday School Class, and I can tell you that there favorate object on my prair table is my rosery. Though this past weekend, the kids found that it was broken crying So I have to fix it because it is my favorate one. 3nodding
My family is Polish xp and we have a ton of odd traditions, that admitedly I love. I do not know if this particular tradition is, or if it is just one of my familys odd habits. What ever it is it is somthing that is amusing to me. 3nodding
Other Traditions -Cristmass- heart Braking of bread- I beleave it is called Apwaki, sweatdrop or somthing- Also we have a veriety of food on cristmass eve cheese_whine that we always have and we have to eat at least 12 things from the table. burning_eyes This is manily because every one in my family only eats candy on Cristmass. rofl
-Wedings- heart When my sister got maried she had a speshal dance with my dad and then with her husband at the reseption. It was a Polka dramallama and She wore simbolic cloths or sweatdrop realy a bonet and an apren, not to mention the garder she through off at the end of the dance. 3nodding They were sown with needles and threds, and in the pockets of the apren she had cookbooks and other implaments to cleen and cook in the kitchen. John, my brother in law, wore a top hat surprised that had a tapemesherer, Calculator, pen, and pencel. I am shore there was more on it, but onestly I don't remember.
These are just a few odd whee yet loved heart traditons that you might not have. I was thinking about it and wanted to share. If you have any different traditions please share and I will gladly read them. If you have any qwestions please feel free to ask. I know probaly no one will read this, but if you do I love coments. blaugh
