Okay, so. You look up in that box to the top right, and what do you see? That little gold counter tells you how much of that precious Gaia gold you've hoarded, miserly, attempting to build and sit upon a vast sum of cash other Gaians may only look upon and envy. And what does it say?
31,521.
Hmmm... maybe if you tap the counter, it'll unstick and rocket up into the millions...
No. You have to earn it the hard way, and what a pain in the a** that is.
BUT!
Although some of my friends have gold by the hundreds, and others have gold by the millions (rich bastards... jk), though some are poor and others rich, I have attained an all-time personal high. I have reached that point I coveted long ago, wishing ever so hard that I could afford another 3k for the gunner coat...
My gold just popped up over 200k today, folks.
So in commemmoration of this event, I propose... A CONTEST!!
This is also how I figure out who subscribes to me... haha! Evil plan in effect. Anywhoo...
It's going to be a poetry contest with a Grand Prize winner, second place and third place. Be original, write your best, most creative work, and post it as a comment on my journal. I want to see a poem that will make me laugh, a poem that will make me cry, a poem that will make me look at the world in a completely different way! All subjects are open, all poetry types are allowed.
Grand Prize winner gets choice out of a May Thank-You Letter, a November Thank-You Letter, and Yokai's Treasure! Second place gets to choose from the remaining two, and third prize... well, you get the idea.
Invite friends to join the contest if you wish! The more, the merrier. Don't PM me about the contest, though. Donations are heart luffled heart But will not guarantee you a prize. But it's Christmas, so donate to whoever you can! Heck, I might just donate to some of the contestants... ninja

Hehe, by the way, I'd like for the poems to be completely new and original. And don't pirate anyone else's poems... I have a couple of good friends that work for Plagiarism.org! They are legion, they are many, and they will not forgive...
Eh hem. And I suppose it would be useful to let you guys know the ultimate deadline date for this contest... All entries are due by the first of the year.
